Works great, just be careful with hit rocks are the roots. It will push the holding handle up against your side very quickly. I found to run it slowly as possible so that if you hit anything, you can cut it off fast. As long as there isn’t any roots, rocks, etc, you can dig until it hits the motor if you want to. It seems to be a nice tool, it’s much faster than the manual post hole diggers, for sure:

This thing is the hero on the job. Way easier to use than I thought. I’m 240lbs and was worried it would feel unsafe but it’s got just enough torque but not too much to where it would throw or spin me. It dug so much faster and easier than my chipping gun with a mud shovel. Not only that, the dirt is brought out of the hole and its ground up and ready for recompacting. No chunks of dirt are left. Also bought inexpensive extensions that worked flawlessly. We mostly use this tool to drill horizontally under cement walkway and the foundation of the house at a distance of 6-1/2ft. It saved us 10 times what the tool cost if we had to chip, dig and repour. After that success I went from two sides for a 9ft long hole and was able to ream out where the holes didn’t meet up perfectly. Incredible success for us. If this tool breaks I’m buying another one.

This thing worked great and was worth the money on time saved. We have some pretty tough ground and this went right through it. It has enough power to buck you off. I only needed to dig like 8 holes, and it was worth every penny just on those, let alone that I can use it in the future as projects arise.

works great, I hate the old post hole diggers and this changed everything. It will dig a perfect hole in no time with very little effort. Wish I had bought one years ago. I only need it couple times a year, so went with the electric to avoid all the troubles associated with a small engine. I use a small generator and have had no issues. Great product

im impressed by this electric auger, i have never owned an electric auger, just the 2 cycle ones you can pick up at a hardware store. I even put a 12" auger bit on it, even though they don't recommend it, and it did well, my soil is on the softer side but i think if you travel slow with it, you can probably do any type of soil. Any auger will be stopped by rocks so i recommend slow travel if you have suspicions of rocks because this thing is pretty strong. I also like that is quiet and you don't have to fool with fuel and pull ropes to start when you need to stop for any reason. For my purposes, i don't think i will get a gas powered one ever again, if i need to run this in remote areas, my service truck has a quiet generator to run it.

Very impressed. I didn't want to bother with a gas powered auger so I decided to try this electric model. I was able to dig 2' deep holes in less than a minute each. I should have purchased this years ago. Highly recommend if you need to dig holes for 4x4 posts, plants, trees, etc. Note: I live in an area with sandy terrain. Not sure how it would perform elsewhere.
