1. Power ON LED not visible possibly defective. Safety issue. 2. Took 2+ hours for 1st snake to get all the way to 70 ft. I was being extra careful not to caused too much tension on the line - despite all that effort - the snake kept jamming inside the drum. Took even more time to wind it back in - same issue - snake keeps tangling up in the drum. On retrieving the snake the auger was missing - the screw that held it must have shaken loose - it doesn't have a locked nut - I consciously tightened it as tightly as I could during set up! 3. The next attempt at using the machine was at another clean out the next day - after going about 30 ft - the drum jammed requiring tremendous effort just to go each foot further - at that point I gave up! Getting the snake back in all the way was impossible - I was defeated - couldn't take it anymore - cleaned everything and packed it up for return. My arms, hands and fingers and the rest of my joints were all aching trying to get this thing to work - I would really have liked to keep the machine if there was a way to untangle the snake and rewind it properly inside the drum without the superhuman effort! I am a very DIY/Mechanical person - maintained and fix my own 5 cars over the last 20 years - but this thing defeated me!

Upon further inspection of the machine, it was evident that the machine had been used and had some shipping damage, even though I bought it new. One side of the handle mounting hole was bent and needed to be fixed by myself. The wheels and the wheel shaft needed to be installed before use, but the wheel shaft had some scratches. There were a lot of tiny metal shavings inside the drum, and I had no idea where the shavings came from. During use, the cable constantly tangled inside the drum when clearing clogs, even with careful use. The auto-feed system seemed unable to keep the twisting tension outside of the drum, leading to the tangles. I had to pull the cable out through the small holes in front of the drum, manually twist the cable back, and then manually retract and pull the cable to try and fix the twist (the auto-feed knob was loosen to do it). There is a clutch inside the center of the drum used for turning the cable nicely when retracting the cables. However, the tension building up outside the drum somehow transferred into the drum, pushing the clutch and turning the cable inside. You need to know or feel how fast the cable feeds and feed it very slowly. Once you feel the cable building up outside the pipe opening, you need to start retracting the cable. If it hits too much clog and kinda jammed the cable, it will cause tangles inside the drum. After unclogging, the machine was unable to retract the cables. The auto-feed system did not have the strength to pull the cable, so I had to pull it myself. The machine may have been damaged before it arrived, causing many of these issues. However, it performed well in feeding the cable down the drain and clearing the clog. The problem, I believe, lies in the auto-feed system's inability to maintain the twisting tension outside of the drum, leading to tangles. The metal shavings I found may be related to its gears which also resulting in difficulties retracting the cable. Overall, the machine did the job, but there was much to be desired.

My husband tried to use this and we have always lived in the country and always had to deal with septic issues in an older home. It kept coiling up on the inside as he was trying to make it run forward and it would stop each time. We fought this thing for 2 days! We even went outside and tried to make it go forward in the yard and it coils itself up on the inside drum. He then took the whole thing apart twice to uncoil the snake on the inside drum because you have to remove everything to get to the drum. He ended up pulling the snake out and just using it the old-fashioned way of hand forcing it into the pipe and the expensive orange machine I bought him was useless!!! Save your money.

The cable gets tangled in the drum and won't feed out. Pulled it out twice to rewind it. Same result both times.

This is probably one of the junkiest products I've ever bought. I spend more time trying to untangle the snake inside the drum than actual snaking. The snake constantly gets jammed up inside the drum and if it gets twisted up inside the drum, getting it out in near impossible. The breaker/start switch attached to the power cord also randomly trips stops working. I also purchased this on Amazon prime under a different listing for the identical machine which has five two star reviews. In short, I'd recommend buying a machine with easy access to the snake because trying to maintain the Vevor is a nightmare. Terrible design.
