We've used drain snakes many times over the years. This one was a pain. Our laundry room was flooded and after having our septic pumped and running our little 25ft beast of a snake, we realized we would have to snake the drain with something a little more heavy duty and longer. Saw this had mixed reviews but we were hoping we'd be those who had a favorable experience. This one arrived within about 1 week. Easy to assemble. Right from the start, it refused to move forward. We finally got it going and once we were around 75ft in, it stopped moving forward and we saw that the cable was bent as it was coming out. It refused to go back in and with the cable so far in our pipes, we didn't have a choice but to manually pull it out. It took forever. A somewhat simple job took hours. Did give it 2 stars because it did unclog some of what was in the system. So.... at least we can use our water again for a time.

I got the 100 ft version. The first time I used it, it cleared my block, but got 'stuck' when unwinding. I worked with the customer service (they are in China, they will not speak to you, but will communicate through email) and they said that "a part is broken" and that they will send a replacement. I was hoping to get just the part, but actually got the entire drain snake. I tried the replacement snake on my second block. This time it got 'stuck' on the way to the block. I tried unwinding it - and it got stuck again. So I now have two snakes that are unusable with cables sticking out dangerously. I asked Amazon to pick them up - they came, they saw, and they gave up (it is heavy!). Amazon has promised me a refund. Fingers crossed. Even if I get the refund, I have to pay to dispose them for scraps, which is what this is.

Used product one time,ran cable down sewage line once and then retracted it;changed tip on cable and ran down sewage line again and then with approximately 50 to sixty feet of cable still in sewage line it quit retracting cable and i ended up having to remove it manually by hand. I am extremely disappointed with this product.

This is my second review. I still really like this machine because it really does the job. There was a real problem with the Auger right out of the box. We used it to clear a 80 ft line and it keep wanting to loop in the drum? This is not a normal normal thing with these kinds of Augers. We finally stopped the job and located the problem! The person that installed the cable had it going the wrong way! If the drum spins clockwise, then the cable must wind counter clockwise. To fix the problem you must pull all the cable, unbolt the cable from the drum, and work the cable so it points in the correct direction. In this case counter clockwise. It would have been much easer if the Vevor had had a "pig tail" at the end of the cable.
