I really can’t use it. I didn’t know that it would tear up the chicken. I’ve tried several times with different varieties of chicken , tried one chicken, tried two chickens but every time my chickens would be damaged. I’ve tried just really really quick like 30 seconds just so my chicken would not be all beaten up but then the feathers would still be there and I still have to pluck by hand. Also so hard to clean inside the feathers get stuck under the rubber fingers and I’ve tried super water spray and also pulling tugging feathers under every rubber fingers but NO way the feathers would come out! So it can not be featherless after cleaning. One other problem I saw is a rust circle appearing inside the drum already and we’ve only used the machine twice but only like 4 chickens because my chickens got beat up broken wings, broken head, cracked skull, neck and chest torn out, feet broken off and this machine is like brand new under 30 days so I’m thinking about returning it. One thing I would also mention is this machine needs to have a power option where you can choose lower power or higher power because believe me all my experienced relatives chicken eaters and friends we watched this machine working and they all said the machine is no good.

I am a small scale poultry exempt processor doing around 1000 birds per year plus some - primarily Cornish x but also spent layers, heritage birds, turkeys, etc for myself and other farmers. We have been using a Whiz Bang DIY for a couple of years but as our numbers have increased I felt we needed to plucker up. We expected this machine to arrived dented and I was apprehensive about its performance based on other reviews but my experience thus far after using it pretty non stop for three days and with various types of chickens (no turkeys yet) has been really good. Our unit arrived in perfect shape with a piece of wood secured to the outflow thus preventing any denting. I've plucked 2 birds at a time with great results. Carcass is clean but not beat up. Not sure it would handle 3-4 as in the description. I'm not a fan of the wheels as it contributes to excess movement while the unit is on...if the wheels locked that would be great - as it is I just chock the unit with cinder blocks to steady it. I like the sealed switch. As for clean up...the space between the plate and the drum is very close...you gotta keep the feathers from bunching or it will stop the plate from spinning and you'll burn the motor out. And be careful cleaning the feathers from the outflow. There is a sharp lip at the top where the metal is basically bent back and feathers do get into this area. Design flaw and I think another reviewer mentioned in and did some modification but if you are careful, you should be able to avoid slicing your hand open. So right now based on my experience with this machine, I'm happy with the purchase. Maybe I'll check back in November once we've run 1000 birds through it and are asking it to do turkeys... ETA - we’ve used this plucker for another season with zero incident or malfunction. 1800 broilers this year. It can’t do turkeys of any size. The rubber fingers will need to be replaced in the future…we keep the machine clean and covered but use is use and things deteriorate over time. This plucker has been the game changer for us and I would still recommend it.

We raise our own meat chickens and butcher them ourselves. Before we used this chicken plucker, it would take us 3 plus hours to get four chickens ready for the freezer and it would take us at least half an hour to pluck the feathers out of one chicken. With this machine my husband was so impressed, he said it took about 30 seconds to a minute to pluck a chicken. Once the water got hot to dip the chicken in, it took about 2 hours to get 8 chickens plucked, cut up and wrapped ready for the freezer. We only done 8 a day because of the warm weather. Very good product. The only negative thing we could say is when my husband took the chicken plucker out of the box it was shipped in the machine was slightly dented, but did not have any effect on its performance.

This plucker works as expected and the components (aside from the sheet metal) seem to be decent quality. It is much sturdier overall than the smaller competing units. However, I feel compelled to hold back some stars for these reasons: 1. As many others have noted, the stainless sheet metal is very thin and arrived dented on one side. In my case it wasn't severe and didn't affect operation, but an item as heavy and expensive as this should be packed better. 2. Holes for one of the casters were drilled off angle, so that wheel is crooked compared to the others and therefore is tough to roll. Swiveling casters would solve this problem but all four wheels are fixed. 3. My biggest complaint--there are ridiculously sharp sheet metal screws right next to the caster holes. This makes it a little tough to get the fasteners tightened due to the close quarters. More importantly, to install the casters you have to stick your fingers blindly into the frame and immediately run into these sharp screw points. Gloves are HIGHLY recommended to avoid injury.

The media could not be loaded. This is my first time owning a plucker machine. It is very disappointing experience. The advertised and the description are totally different from the actual machine being used. It doesn’t plucked like it show on their video looks very simple easy cleaning the chicken. But it takes me 5 minutes to plucked halfway and never really cleaned all the way. I have to finish by hand myself. So I think it is a of money. As you can see I showed you on the video below

Works great, Defeathered that bird in seconds! Now I did stop using it as I have found I can also just peel the skin away and get the breasts and loins out in almost the same time as well as the legs and I rarely try to get much else. So that actually saves more time as I don't need to clean this afterwards.
