I actually really like this cabinet. We wanted to add litter boxes to more areas in the house because we have six bedrooms and two major living areas. I put this together in my home office yesterday and I love it and the way it looks. Things worth noting in case you’re more picky than I am: - There were a few scratches on the laminate and the metal frame. Since this is going in my office, we’re not very many people will see, I don’t really mind them. Definitely didn’t want to waste anymore time putting it back in the box and returning it. - There are four screws missing that help put the black frame together. There were a couple tiny screws however, the holes that they are made to go in are too big so they fall right out. I secured it a little better using black duct tape, so if this was going in the living room or another common area, I would be really annoyed. - To secure each self to the metal frame, you have to drill your own holes, which is a pain in the butt. This added so much time to the assembly. - The directions have you put it together to where you can see the silver screws (there are no stickers with the laminate/fake wood like other pieces usually come with). If I had to put it together again, I would flip it to where they would face the wall instead. -The bottom part of this cabinet is pretty sturdy. However, once you get to the shelves, it is not sturdy at all. If you have children or pets that like to jump on things, I would be wary of buying this. Since it’s in my office, this won’t be a big issue for me. All in all, I do really like this piece and would probably buy it again since the price is so low compared to similar items. However, these are things that I would’ve liked to have known prior to purchasing. ... show more

Since buying this we have not had issues with smelling the litter box. It looks great and easy to assemble. Only downside is one of the decorative slats on the front has fallen off, I am sure I can glue it back on. If I could rate it higher I would!

I'd say this shelf is just okay. Since I don't have cats, I don't use the hidden litterbox enclosure for its intended purpose, but it's actually come in handy for extra storage. Assembly was pretty easy, but I did have to drill most of the holes myself, and some screws were missing. Once it was put together, I found the metal shelf to be a bit wobbly, even after tightening the screws. The shelves themselves are sturdy and hold my dog's treats and laundry detergent just fine. The two storage baskets that came with it are decent and useful for storing plastic plates and utensils. I've also repurposed the litterbox enclosure to store some pots and pans, and it works well for that. It’s easy to clean and it’s not a real tall shelf which I'm happy about because it makes it easier for me to clean. The ventillation that is provided is not enough for proper ventillation for a cat litter box. My roommate luckily had the tools needed to create our own, however if you do not have such tools I would look elsewhere for furniture that has better ventillation holes.

This littler box shelving unit does trap in the smell of the litter box slightly, but it's major downfall is it's wobbly and some of the slats had to be reglued.
