  • Makes Topdressing Quick and Easy
Voltage: 42
This compost spreader has been a great addition to my lawn care equipment. Assembly was straightforward, and it’s built much sturdier than I expected. It rolls smoothly across the lawn and spreads compost, screened topsoil, peat moss, and other materials evenly without creating large clumps. The adjustable handle is comfortable to use, and the large drum covers a good amount of ground before needing a refill, making bigger lawn projects much faster. Cleanup is simple, and the overall construction feels durable enough to last for years with normal use. If you regularly topdress, overseed, or improve your soil, this spreader is absolutely worth the investment. It saves a lot of time and gives much more consistent results than spreading material by hand. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Time-Saving Spreader with a Few Minor Flaws
Voltage: 42
This product has been a real lifesaver for me. It saves so much time and effort when working in the yard. I’ve used it to spread peat moss, dirt, sand, and compost, and each time the material went down evenly and smoothly. It really makes the job easier and more efficient. That said, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. There’s a small gap when spreading, and over time one of the gate hinges bent slightly, which makes removing and attaching it a little tricky. Still, the overall benefits far outweigh these minor issues. The time it saves and the even spread it delivers make it a tool I’d definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Excellent product, works well
Voltage: 49
If you care about your lawn you need to top dress it with a lawn topping soil a couple of times per year. The material should be evenly applied and one 2 cu ft bag will cover about 100 sf. This roller holds a 2 cu ft bag and will distribute the topping soil evenly and consistently over your lawn. Assembly is really easy with each part clearly numbered and foolproof instructions. The build quality is quite excellent with every piece fitting perfectly and no forcing holes to line up. It takes about 20 mins to assemble completely. Highly recommended to apply a top dressing to any lawn, your lawn will thank you for it. PS, you can also use this to cover newly seeded areas to ensure that the seeds are properly covered to germinate. ... show more

  • Built well
Voltage: 42
After reading some bad reviews I normally can pick out the ones that are BS. So I ordered this. The drum is pretty much one piece all you have to do is attach the handle. Took about 5 minutes to put together. The powder coating on this thing is really thick. The construction of the drum is heavy metal so it will last a long time. The handle adjustability is meh, it only moves up about 2 in. The thing is a tank and will last you a long time. Glad I purchased this I put it to use immediately and it hasn't let me down. I wish they had some type of attachment to hook it to the back of the lawn tractor. It's built strong and better than probably the name brand ones. It's easy to use and easy to clean. It's the perfect size when it's full it's not very heavy to push. ... show more

  • Built very sturdy
Voltage: 130
Just what I needed. So ok it did take a bit of time to line up holes on one side and a bolt was bent and had to use one of mine but it wasnt anything people cant figure out. The control handle needs to be extra tight to stop it from jumping around, and if you stop the fertilizer will pile up on slinger🙁. But I am using this on my small farm and I have a couple of 6 and 5 acre pastures that needed some love so this thing is a very economical option to purchasing a large trailer from the Co-op. I spread the 5 acre pasture first and it did not tip over and it survived the jolts and less than perfect surface so I love the thing right now, so if it will just last a few years it is a bargain. ... show more

  • Works as expected!
Voltage: 42
I’m not sure why most people give this and other rollers a bad review except for issues with the gate mechanism. On this unit, it’s not a problem. I appreciate that they’re on the sides and not in the middle. They’re also extremely secure. The only issue, if you can call it one, is taking the time to ensure the gate is in the proper position prior to attempting to close it. If you look at my included photos, I’ve added one showing the best way to load material. The second shows the coverage. For coverage, if you’re expecting a 2” layer, as some peat moss bags suggest, that’s not going to happen. This is meant for coverage up to about a 1/4” to maybe a bit more if you make multiple passes. If I were to knock on anything it would be the difficulty of removing oversized debris to include sticks. In the bags I purchased, there would be a couple handfuls per bag. I lifted this onto my trashcan and opened the door to shake it out. It’s not exactly easy to handle. I suppose you could detach the push/pull handle each time but I won’t be doing this. Overall, for planting new grass seed and patching, the 1/4” layer is doing just fine. The assembly was easy and the unit appears to be rather solid. ... show more

  • Ok piece of equipment
Voltage: 42
It gets what you need done; however, I've had it a month and I'm already seeing where this product is cheap and may not last. Not too bad to assemble and I am a girl who sucks at assembling. From the beginning, some of the rubber on the handles started to tear, but it wasn't a huge amount, so I left it due to not wanting to disassemble it. It does distribute topsoil nicely and easily, you literally push and pull. However, due to the barrel spinning, it clumps up the soil, so you have to go back in and break it up. In the end, you'll have a ton of rocks which you'll then have to clear out of the barrel. That said, the handle bars are basically attached on the side with some washers and a little clip. A month in and only using it for two small front yards (10-12 bags of top soil in) the clip on one side basically wears out and then it leaves the handle bar on side loose. Of course, its just past the return period. ... show more
