  • A High Quality Sprayer — Just Assemble It Carefully
Style: 4 Gal with Cart
The VEVOR Wheeled Sprayer works great and far surpasses the abilities of a unit I borrowed from my neighbor. It's well built and feels solid once you have it assembled. However, before deciding to purchase it, I noticed a number of buyers were complaining that it leaks. During assembly, I learned it's critical to make sure you use the right washers on the hose connection points. Otherwise, it's almost guaranteed to leak. Unfortunately, VEVOR's manual doesn't make it easy to decide which washers to use because the manual doesn't provide much explanation. And to make matters worse, all the washers are just thrown together in a bag. (See below for hints and suggestions on best assembly techniques.) PROS 1. Made of heavy duty plastic. 2. Oversized wheels move the unit easily. 3. The pressure of the spray is adjustable. 4. Metal wand and brass spray head work great. 5. Does not leak a drop of liquid — if assembled correctly. 6. Comes with with straps that allow you to convert it to a backpack sprayer. 7. They include extra: fuses, washers, hub caps, spray heads and two wands. CONS 1. The hose is too long — an 8-foot hose would have sufficed as the longer hose just gets in the way. I'm going to replace mine with a shorter six-foot one — which for me will be perfect. 2. Battery should have been a Lithium Iron-Phospate (LiFePO4) instead of lead-acid. Strangely, that's exactly what VEVOR uses in their smaller backpack unit. Also, as others have stated, the battery in the wheeled version is kind of an oddball. However, Amazon does sell replacements if you need one. The battery in mine is a LC-RA127R272 — 12 volt 7.2 amp hour battery. 3. Inside of tank was wet with moisture. They must have pressure tested the tank before shipping it. Unfortunately, they didn't allow it to fully dry out. So, when I opened it up to retrieve the extra parts, it was wet. Thankfully, they must have used distilled water because there was no mold or bacteria buildup. 4. The manual doesn't provide enough guidance on which washers to use or where they go. And they don't go into much detail on how to assemble the sprayer. That said, it's not rocket science, just take your time and you'll figure it out by looking at the manual and the various pictures that have been posted. 5. They use a connection to charge the battery that's better suited for a PC. It works, but a simpler design would be an improvement. Note: I did not test the backpack option (shoulder straps and belt) because I am never going to use it that way. It weighs 55 pounds when filled with water. * * * * * Assembly Hints:and Suggestions 1. I recommend using the metal wand and brass spray head for general purpose spraying. It allows you to go from a fogging spray to a solid stream and everything in-between with just a couple of twists of the spray head. 2. Use the smallest green silicone washers to connect the hose to the tank and to the plastic handle. And use three wraps of the Teflon tape (clockwise) to help seal the connection. CAUTION: Be sure and not put any Teflon tape beyond the end of the brass fitting. If a piece comes off it will plug up your sprayer! Tighten the nut on the hose until it starts to snug up and then turn it another 1/4 turn (no more) to make sure it's secured. On mine, there was a preinstalled clear silicon washer on the end of the metal wand to which I attached the brass spray head. 3. The plastic spray wand works reasonably well. But after some testing, I decided I preferred the metal wand with the brass spray head. 4. Lay out all the washers on a table before you try to install them. (They include extras.) If you're not sure which washer to use, carefully tip one side of the washer into the connection point to see if it's going to be a good fit. CAUTION: Do not seat it all the way. Once installed, they are tough to remove. If, however, you accidentally put the wrong one in, you can remove it with a fine pair of tweezers or a small jeweler's slotted screwdriver. Unfortunately, VEVOR doesn't make it very clear which washer is supposed to fit into which connection. They do show sizes next to the washers, but they don't tell you if the measurements are metric or inches. 5. The axle for the tires fits through a slot near the bottom. It would be a good idea to use a rubber mallet to pound it through because they have designed it to be a very snug fit. Yes, you can use a metal hammer, just be careful not to hit the tank or you may crack it. 6. Be sure to leave the same amount of space on both sides of the axle for the tires. Install metal washers on both the inner edge of the axle and the outer edge of the tire. This will prevent excessive wear on the plastic and extend the life of the sprayer. 7. Now, install cotter pins through the holes on each side of the axle and bend them backwards so they won't come loose. Then, install the small gray plastic hubcaps to cover the cotter pins and axle. If you ever need to remove a hubcap. You can loosen it by prying inward on one of the connection clips on the backside of the tire with a small slotted screwdriver. It should pop right off without breaking, since it's made of a tough nylon plastic. 8. Once you're done spraying, rinse and drain all the water out of the tank and let it completely dry out. Otherwise, you may come back a few weeks later and find it full of mold and mildew. 9. I am considering replacing the lead-acid battery with a LiFePO4 one; since I already have the charger and swapping it out should be relatively easy. Amazon sells a 12-volt, 10 amp hour LiFePO4 batteries.that will fit in this sprayer and increase the spraying time by at least 30%. Plus, they'll last for years; since they are designed to take 4,000 to 10,000 recharge cycles before they die. ... show more

  • A solid DIY backpack sprayer at a good price.
Style: 4 Gal
Vevor seems to be producing ALL kinds of products. Just check out their website; literally "anvils" to "zip lines". I may be getting lazy in my old age, but I got tired of pumping my sprayer when I was spraying for weeds in my lawn. I came across this sprayer when it was on sale (Vevor tends to run really good sales on their items at times). I have had great luck with this one. It comes with multiple attachment heads. The construction is primarily plastic, but it does not seem to be too thin. Motor is strong. Battery life is good. The five stars is for how well it worked out of the box. Concerns down the line: I hope the plastic holds up to use. I hope the plastic does not deteriorate due to chemicals. I hope the motor continues to work well. I hope the battery life continues to be strong. I have to figure out if there are any additional batteries I can buy for it. OVERALL: A good sprayer out of the box for price paid. I consider this to be a solid DIY backpack sprayer at a good price point. Not sure it would survive industrial use. ... show more

  • Good product, could be great with a couple of tweaks
Style: 4 Gal
I like the adjustable PSI, but seem to use it full on so not sure how much it matters. The pump works great and literally almost drains the container. The harness is so/so (not much padding and the cross belt is useless). This unit needs a stand badly and a handle as it tends to tip easily and there is no convenient way to grab it. Look, this weighs (with 4 gallons of liquid) around 60+lbs. It is a lot to have on your back so when you go to put it on full, make sure you have it sitting on an appropriately high counter/stool to ease into it. There are multiple spray heads (great idea) and even a manual pump to help unclog it. No way to tell how much liquid is left until you hear the pump go quiet which is OK i think. Large battery, not to be removed. Charges easily, volt meter is hokey and charging port could be better protected. Hose and spray wands (quality rubber with crimps and steel wands) very nice. Good unit could be great. ... show more

  • Missing parts makes it useless
Style: 15 Gal with Custom Built Cart
I received the sprayer and all seemed well. Once sprayer was assembled it looked and felt like a nice piece of equipment, however, then I realized there is no sprayer handle or air pump, which makes the sprayer useless. Also, the battery compartment door would not stay closed. I didn't know if the latch was broken or it was missing a piece. The number for the manufacturer listed on Amazon to call for replacement parts is not in service and you are instructed to Live Chat. This is difficult when I have to do this from work. I was told by the first rep that he was having technical difficulties and was switched to a second rep and had to re-type the entire conversation again. I was asked to send pics of the missing parts!!! I asked her how can I send pics of what I don't have? She then said well you have the operator manual don't you? I said not with me as I am at work. I said you have only one product, you have the model number, it only has one handle and one air pump. Can you not just send me the missing parts? She said no they need a pic of the page in the operator's manual with the missing parts circled before they will send the parts. I am returning the sprayer. For the price it seems like a very nice sprayer but it is not worth the aggravation and is useless if parts are missing and it can't be used. I don't want a replacement for fear I will have the same problem. ... show more

  • Vevor 4 Gallon Battery Backpack Sprayer
Style: 4 Gal
This a great sprayer. It is well built and easy to assemble. The battery only takes 6 hours to charge. Filling it with 2 gallons of water and herbicide doesn't make it to heavy to carry. It has a wide selection of nozzles for spraying. The spraying wand can be adjusted from about 3 ft. to about 6 ft. The price is reasonable. ... show more
