The media could not be loaded. If you are on the fence on this product take the leap and get it NOW. It’s one of the best things I bought during COVID times to keep my property of over an acre free from weeds. Unfortunately, we only used it 3 times when my sister borrowed it and brought it back saying it was leaking so we put it in the garage and pretty much forgot about it. From then on, I had an elderly neighbor who loved to come spray the weeds each month so he would have something to do, it was a win win as I never needed to worry about weeds again. Fast forward 4 years and my neighbor is no longer able to spray weeds so I got this thing out and of course couldn’t find the cord to charge it so I got the cord off my portable speaker (same connector, I thought ) and before I plugged it in I noticed some dry battery acid around the casing. Long story short, I plugged it in and I heard a pop and it starting smoking from the bottom. I took a chance and called the number on the sticker on the front of the item. This is where things took the most unexpected turn. I have never had such amazing customer service before. I called the number and decided to hang up and send an email instead due to the time difference and figuring they were closed. Within minutes I received a response to the email and also a text message from Chloe asking how they could assist. After going through the details we decided that I should get a new juice box (the whole bottom mechanism) a new battery and also the correct cord as they advised to use only the actual cord that came with the unit. I have no idea where that is. I was worried that It would be too hard for me to replace but she sent me a video and assured me I could do it. I was sure all these replacement parts were going to cost almost as much as I paid originally. Well to my huge surprise, Chloe (support representative) told me that they would send all the parts free of charge as a one time courtesy and to thank me for my purchase. WHAT!!!! I couldn’t believe it. I am so grateful because I really loved this thing. It made my life so much easier than carrying around a sprayer. Besides the unit being an amazing tool especially for large properties their customer service is better than any I’ve received before. For this reason I will be checking out what else they sell because you really just don’t find customer service like this anymore.

I recently bought a PetraTools HD 5000 to spray 16 gallons of Bora Care solution (1:1) for powder-post beetles. I was very satisfied with the machine's performance and versatility of spray options, both misting and long-range (30 feet). Before spraying, I contacted the customer support team to double check the suitability of the chemical for use. They offered a prompt reply which allowed me to go ahead with my spraying without any delay. I also had an additional question about another solution (vinegar and water) which Anne at customer service did not suggest for use because of the acidity. Because of another prompt reply, I did not damage my machine. Thanks, Anne; and thank you, PetraTools, for a reliable American-made product.

This review is actually for the customer service I received from Anna. PetraTools sent me the wrong backpack sprayer. It had the same model number but did not include the hose reel. I called Petra Tools and Anna was very helpful. She is expediting shipment of the correct sprayer, and has sent out a repair label. While this has been an inconvenience, she was very kind and helpful. It looks like an excellent product and I can't wait to get the replacement and give it a try!

Size: HD5000 6.5 Gallon (With Reel Cart, Battery)
First, I have a fairly large yard, so the 100 foot hose on a reel is a very welcome feature. The product is referred to as a backpack sprayer. It can certainly be used as such, but here is something to consider if you're going to be spraying a yard of much size. The unit itself probably weighs at least ten pounds - I could probably look it up, but nope. Then, it holds six gallons of water. So, when full it comes in at just under sixty pounds starting out. Of course that weight reduces commensurate with what you spray on the lawn. This isn't meant to be a challenge to those hearty folks who want a nice workout with their lawn care efforts, it's just a fairly heavy endeavor to schlep it around on your shoulders. Use the included cart. As to the cart, it could be a little more robust and could do with a bit large, more terrain-friendly wheels/tires. It comes with a plethora of attachments for a wide variety of uses, which is very nice. It is easy and straight-forward to assemble and comes with reasonable instructions. Use the teflon tape on the pressurized couplings to avoid leakage. If the carrying cart were a little more solid, I would have given this piece five stars. Charge it fully (overnight). I was able to go through nine loads - on a single charge and had some power left in the battery, but not in my body. Clean up of the machine takes about 30-40 minutes depending upon your thoroughness. Tip: If you're going to spray a large area, I recommend using a dye so you can readily see where you've sprayed. This is particularly useful if you need to mix and refill often. I also recommend avoiding the use of dyes that stain the tank. I used non-staining dye and the unit looks as good a new between uses. Also, be sure to wear disposable outerwear (dye or not) to avoid contact with the compound you are using. Stay safe.
