It's very easy to put together you just put the feet on other than that you just plug it up and is ready to go. The remote is very easy to use and don't forget that you will need AAA batteries cuz those are not included the lighting effect with the fake fireplace. It does looks okay but I can totally see you using this during the holiday time. Now far as heat output it's all right I don't think you'll get much out of it in a large space but if using a smaller space probably. So I try to use them in the bathroom and it was like a nice warm flow of air but nothing intense and the heat comes from the bottom of the unit. So you might need to elevate it depending on where you plan on using it but I will say please pay attention to where you plug it into because I did notice when I plugged into a extension cord that it was warm to the touch so make sure you plug it into a actual power outlet.

The description does note that it’s made of plastic, and while it’s well constructed, that still raises a few concerns — especially when it comes to the heat setting. Product Description: This is a 25.5-inch compact electric fireplace made of lightweight plastic. It has a charming appearance and would make a great addition to seasonal decor or as an ambiance booster for things like a holiday setup or even an outdoor deck party. However, it’s important to note that the entire unit is plastic — not wood or metal — and that’s a key thing to consider before purchasing. It does come with clear instructions and was well-packaged, despite the box arriving with a large hole (not the manufacturer’s fault). Fit/Function: The heat setting is where I have mixed feelings. While I assume the plastic is heat-safe as other reviewers have mentioned, I personally don’t feel comfortable using the heat function often. Sometimes, with Vine, you take whatever is available. It's summer time, and the temperatures are routinely 100 degrees now. I turned this heater on long enough to see that the "flame" appears to dance around a little bit. Then I unplugged it! Assembly is a matter of sticking 4 legs into the corresponding slots on the bottom of the heater. I should say four CHEAP plastic legs. The heater is not heavy, or solid, and those flimsy legs leave me with doubts. I won't use this heater inside my house - it will be consigned to my work shop, after I reinforce those legs. I really can't recommend this heater for overnight use in a home. I just don't trust the flimsy design.
