The media could not be loaded. It was time to replace old salt/pepper grinders and these are great. Out of the box they are attractive and the glass is thick and sturdy. The tops screw off for easy filling. Once full, adjust to the grind consistency you want. Turn and grind. The adjustable grind settings, and lid with a wide opening or small opening make these super easy and functional to use!

My last pepper mill died recently and I began a lengthy search for a replacement. That’s when I found these. Very solid glass bottle with a solid mill top. They fit in my hand nicely, have some heft to them, pop off/on covers, and adjust for to the desired coarseness. I am very please with this set.

Bought this 3 yrs ago. They never really worked great but then completely stopped grinding anything about a yr ago I put it aside thinking the Grinders just needed cleaning out I finally got some time to take them apart and no matter what I did I could not get either one to grind anymore The troubleshooting for this item is totally wrong and of no use! Total waste of money!!

i should have guessed from the price, but i liked the looks so much that I went ahead and bought it -- the product description SAYS IT HAS CERAMIC GRINDING MECHANISM, but either that's an outright falsehood, or only one part (the center) is ceramic -- and the teeth it grinds against are set in a plastic ring, which will CERTAINLY fail -- exactly what I was trying to avoid by buying a grinder with CERAMIC grinding mechanism. Because YES I SEE PLASTIC, plastic, plastic, plastic. The reason I like the looks is -- you can see what you got (pepper or salt) easily. It's not too tall or bulky. It's sleek and modern looking. It has a silicone base to sit on and keep both salt and pepper organized. BUT WHY THE LIE ABOUT CERAMIC???? Waaaah
