  • Great little stove & heater!
Style: Camp Stove
Great little heater & stove top! We bought one of these for music festival camping to make breakfast & brew coffee on. Works great! It also heats our canopy area very nicely. I’ve also used this inside at holidays to keep pans of food warm. I would suggest getting a small concrete paver to place it on, it does get toasty on the bottom. Light weight, no sound or smells. Durable and well built for the price! ... show more

  • I like it!
Style: Camp Stove
Arrived quickly. I bought some additional 6 hour gel chafing dish type of cans. It is amazing how quickly the fan turns on from the heat. It's a very simple concept, the outside stayed very cool. Won't warm your entire house of course, but it does put out some heat. It's very quiet also. And chafing dishes have been used with this type of burner for many, many years indoors. They do say not to shut off a room if you have this lit. I had put it in a living room that had no doors. ... show more

  • Bought For Emergencies
Style: Camp Stove
VESTA Self-Powered Camping Indoor/Outdoor Heater & Stove (Compact, Off-Grid, Emergency) I originally bought two of these for emergency situations (such as power loss in winter and the need for heat) and to use for camping since they're so compact. I tested both and was amazed at how fast the fans kicked in once the heat from canned heat triggered them. I also like that you can cook on them. I have a gas cookstove, so they wouldn't be used for this but I could clearly see them being used by those who lose power with electric cookstoves. The heat blown from them was pretty warm and I think it could very well heat up a space, at the dimensions listed, in no time. They are compact and easy to set up as well as put away. The packaging was absolutely amazing for it. You get the stove, a can/fire snuffer and drawer opener, and 3 cans of canned heat. Very happy with both of mine and would recommend ... show more

  • Good heater, ok cooker
Style: Camp Stove
This works pretty ok as heater. Slept relatively comfortably in 30ish degree weather. It only needed to warm up a small tent, about 6x4, but it warmed it up to over 50 dgrees. For cooking, it left a lot to be desired. I'm sure the heat cans have a lot to do with it, but I find it hard to justify paying nearly twice as much for instafire branded heat cans compared to other brands. Overall, a great product and using heat to power the fan instead of needing batteries is a very smart idea. ... show more

  • Solidly built and puts out real heat.
Style: Camp Stove
This really will keep you warm in a pinch. After about 5 mins, the fan started turning quickly, and pushing good heat out of the top. I haven't cooked on it yet, but it should work just fine. Even if you can't heat your whole house with it, it'll do a smallish room, and you can always huddle around it for a higher temp. I estimate it should cost about $1/hr to run all 3 canned heats at the same time...pretty affordable. I wouldn't recommend standing on it, but it seems sturdy and well built. ... show more

  • Worked when we needed it.
Style: Camp Stove
I bought this last year as insurance against blackouts during the winter. We just had a massive days-long outage here in the Seattle area, and this unit came through and kept us warm. This isn't the most powerful or cheapest alternative, but it's handy, easy to store, and usable indoors when the unexpected hits. The fan kept the air in our home about 15 degrees warmer than outside. We didn't use it for cooking, as it's easy enough to just rig another cook space, but were glad to have the option if we wanted it. I'm ordering more fuel as preparedness backup. Recommended if you can afford it. ... show more

  • Disappointing Experience with the VESTA Self-Powered Camping Indoor/Outdoor Lantern
Style: Camp Stove
I had high hopes for the VESTA Self-Powered Camping Indoor/Outdoor Lantern, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. Despite its promising features, such as the self-powering capability and versatile design for both indoor and outdoor use, I encountered several issues.Firstly, the brightness of the lantern was underwhelming, providing insufficient illumination for my camping trips. Additionally, the self-powering function seemed unreliable, often failing to hold a charge for an extended period. This made it inconvenient during times when I needed a reliable light source.Furthermore, the build quality of the lantern was not as durable as advertised, as I noticed signs of wear and tear after only a few uses. The overall performance did not justify the price point, leaving me feeling let down by the VESTA lantern. ... show more
