Great little mobile hotspot. I've used is several times during our camping trips for Internet when T-Mobile didn't have good service in the area. Overall performance varies by your location and battery life is decent, depending on the load. After you have it up and going with service, connect to the device and update the WIFI name, and password. I'd also recommend installing all of the updates which are available through the device admin page. This is done through the web browser by going to 192.168.1.1. Documentation should have the default user name and password. Don't forget to change the admin password. Price for the device was outstanding compared to what they charge in the Verizon store. I love this Jetpack for the camper, I added it to our Verizon cell acct without issue. The only problem I have is the back panel that holds the battery keeps falling off. Hoping I can tape it on.

    • Nice Mobile Broadband Hotspot
If you are in need of a mobile broadband hotspot to connect your devices (tablet or personal computers) to the internet then this may be for you. It's called a MiFi (which kind of means your own personal WiFi) that allows you to get a broadband data connection over a wireless network. This is a good one for using with a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), that lets you bring your own device. Select a good money saving data plan from an MVNO, get their SIM Card, and then activate your account to have mobile WiFi that covers most of the country. This Verizon device is GSM Unlocked, which means that you can use it with signals from the biggest mobile networks here in the U.S., and you can use it with about any MVNO which has those money saving no contract plans and where you can bring your own device. Called Verizon to activate. 3 1/2 hours later product still didn't work! Wouldn't connect to internet and kept powering on and off by itself. I wouldn't even give it one star.

This little device is the best thing since sliced bread, especially if you travel alot. I previously used my phone's hotspot, but this is so much better. It tells you whenever a device has connected to it and you can swipe left to see the names of the devices that have connected. You can touch the screen to reveal the device name and password to make connecting fast and easy, too. My Mifi is connected thru Verizon and shows me how much data I have used and how many days are left in my data cycle as well. Highly HIGHLY recommend. ... show more

works great and I even bought a used or refurbished one for much cheaper than the new ones. It says to unplug it after it's charged up but I just put a low powered charger on it and leave it plugged in all the time. The battery is replaceable so in a few years if I lower the lifespan of the battery I'll just replace it. ... show more

It's unlocked. Good for international travellers. It gets pretty hot after extensive use. The battery does not last very long; possibly about 5-6 hours. Charges slower than some other models. Uses USB-C cable, which is not compatible with all the charging cables I have.
