This is sooo much better than what the ER/Ortho docs give u. Took one star away since it doesn't tell u how to make it work for you left arm (and a couple other things in the next paragraph). To make it work for the left arm, u have to modify the double straps and double velcro piece that goes around ur hand. When u first put it on your left arm, it runs around the back of your hand which causes it not to stay tight. So you need it where it will wrap down around the front of your hand instead. Run the double strap thru the plastic rectangle to free it, then run it back thru the opposite side of the plastic side and you are good to go. I do wish they'd send extra velcro for the piece that holds the whole thing close to your body. Whenever I take that part off to use my arm a little, it sticks to stuff, gets all curled up, and makes it harder to make it stick. Also, the vented version doesn't actually allow any airflow like you'd think 🤷♂️. It def gets hot and retains sweat in the summer.

I am a hand surgeon and I prescribe a lot of slings for my patients after injury or surgery. But when I needed one for myself, the choices were overwhelming. I ordered several and settled on this one after trying on each one of the slings that I purchased. I was able to adjust this sling perfectly, and make it comfortable for my elbow, my shoulder and my hand. My doctor ordered me to wear the sling both day and night continuously for three weeks. I have had no trouble sleeping while wearing this sling because it is so easily adjustable for comfort, but also it holds my hand and wrist in the position my doctor required. It is sturdy, yet soft and well-made. I recommend it highly.

This is one of the few that said it was 2x-large. Still was a little small (especially around the elbow) but it worked. Straps were very comfortable and kept my arm in the right place after surgery. Much more comfortable than the one from the hospital. Says it is breathable but my arm got very sweaty when wearing it.

I ordered the first one for my left shoulder for a break in a humerus bone. The picture is for the left. However, the velcro piece at the elbow goes front to back and is painful to adjust. The piece that goes around to the front of one's body attaches underneath instead of on top and sticks to my clothes from underneath.. The company needs to specify for a right or left shoulder. I ordered a second one hoping to get one like the picture and the directions, but I got the exact same design. The sling is more comfortable than the one from either the hospital or what I got at the Orthopedics' office. Just all wrong for a left shoulder issue.

This might require some assistance when putting on. The shoulder strap location is comfortable. My arm/shoulder felt very secure when wearing. The velcro is very strong -- sticks to everything. Rather difficult to unfasten with one hand.

I broke my arm right under my shoulder cap and needed my arm to be immobilized. I had two other slings that I got from the occupational health facility and the orthopedic doctors office and neither worked for me. One was too small and my hang hung down out of it, which hurt my shoulder. The other was too big and although fine for the day time, I couldn't sleep in it because my arm moved around to much and was very painful! Also the velcro closure was on my back and I couldn't take it on or off by myself! This sling was amazing! It is easy to get on and off by yourself. It keeps your arm securely in place so you are supported and in less pain. It is breathable material, so my arm was never sweaty! Which was really important for sleeping. Helpful tip.... If you have to wear a sling for any length of time, every day make sure you wash your armpit area and put a clean folded washcloth in your armpit of the arm with the sling so you keep it dry and do not get an infection! 🙂 Highly recommended this product!

If you have a serious injury get this sling! I bought this when I first hurt myself and was concerned that I might need surgery. This sling provides maximum stability to keep your arm in place. However, I didn’t need surgery and this is more than what I needed. You can make this sling give you more freedom but that is not what it is designed for.

I've had severe nerve damage and lost control of my entire arm after a shoulder injury and tried many slings during the last few months and this is by far the best one I've had. It is more comfortable than others being slightly padded. There is a small strap at the elbow that sort of keeps your arm from sliding out of it if you have zero control over it like I did. The strap that comes around from the back holds it to you nice and tight which keeps it from swinging out. And it's much more fitted and has much less of that big bag feeling many others have. I've worn it for a few months now and have absolutely no complaints.
