Great, bright light with color variation and intensity choices. It really helped in a somewhat dark room in which I play with my recorder group once a week. The flexible neck provides positioning options. The nearly hilarious thing is that the recharging cord seems to be at least six feet long - I haven't measured it, but it's plenty long to connect to a portable charger or whatever while I'm performing on stage (not that I perform on stage). I recommend this highly! (It replaced a small clip on light with just one small bulb).

This is a really great stand light. You have three choices of light quality (warm or cool light) and three levels of brightness. Having 88 LEDs ensures you get all the illumination you need with a wide spread whether you're lighting music or a keyboard or strings, etc. The battery charge lasts a long time, so I charge it the day before I need it to keep from wearing out the battery (don't leave it plugged in every day if not needed). The neck is super flexible, and the entire unit is light-weight for its size. Highly recommend.

Has 3 brightness levels and several tints of colour. The coverage is remarkable: two pages of sheet music. It easily clips onto the music stand and the Type C USB port charging is a snap. This kind of technology was unheard of just a few short years ago. This is made possible by the employment of low-power consuming LED lights and built-in rechargeable lithium batteries. Amazing piece of gear and I highly recommend it.

This is perfect for my manhasset music stand. The battery charge lasts a long time between charges having to charge 2-3 times weekly. The lamp is bright and makes seeing music so much better. I think you can change the light color but haven’t really used it. I use one step down from the brightest setting which is plenty of light.

My favorite of the four I've tried. I have done a side-by-side comparison of four music stand lamps. The first, branded as a "CIVHOM", is an excellent lamp, and very hefty and it seems well made. However, I neglected to notice the difference between a "music stand light" and a "piano light", with the one I ordered being the latter. It really is design for a semi-permanent setup, as it is too big and heavy to bring along to a gig or practice to light your portable music stand. But, It seems to have been well-thought out for those wanting to light all 88 keys of a piano! The second was branded as "Teecoo", and is the popular tiny LED on a lightweight gooseneck. I've seen single and double headed variants sold under lots of brand names, and are probably what most would buy. The one I ordered had two heads to be optimally positioned. It is very light and portable, but its light output and coverage are completely outclassed by the next two lights I'll compare. It too is being returned. I purchased two variants of this product, branded as "Vekkia". The first, which I did not choose, and is not the item on this page, but is instead marketed as a Folding Music Stand Light, with 42 LEDs. I really wanted to like this one. It has a very large number of positive reviews, is very compact, and the adjustable, folding elements could be helpful in certain situations. It is also a few dollars cheaper (at the time of this writing) than the product listing here. However, it is a one-button controller, which must serve 3 different settings. 1)On/off 2)Brightness and 3) color temperature. Having to remember the various ways to operate the single button was not what I wanted. Even worse, it does not remember the brightness you used last. Basically, you need to use the single button to re-specify the color and brightness each time you turned it on. That's a lot of pushes of a button just to get back to where I was a short while ago. No thanks. Finally, this 88 LED lamp! I think it is the best portable music stand light I've ever used. The light is very uniform on a two-page music stand (haven't tried it for anything wider). It has three separate buttons, each one does just one thing. The center button is on/off, the right button is brightness, and the left is color. Better still, if you turn off the lamp (e.g. to save power if you have a longish break), it will return to the color and brightness you previously specified. So, turning on the lamp is a single push of a single button. This is not the least expensive, the most compact, or the widest throw of light (as discussed above), but for something that costs in the mid-twenties of US dollars, it does all the things that matter to me, and does them well. This one I will keep and use, and likely buy a backup as well. I have only one small nit: I (unlike probably most folks) don't like to buy devices with its own small rechargeable battery. I have a nice collection of the larger "power brick" portable batteries, which I almost never leave the house without. I wouldn't want to be at a concert and have the light go dim (or off) after an hour because I forgot to charge it after its last use. Mostly these build in batteries have a limited lifetime, and mostly add cost and weight to the product. For me, it is easy to have a couple of power bricks in my kit, so that I always have at least one backup. Because of their much larger capacity, the larger power bricks will need far fewer charge/discharge cycles to do the same amount of work, meaning they should last much longer. Now, I can easily imagine some who would complain if they *had* to bring a powerbrick just to make their light work. That's fair, and I understand why the designers made their choice. But my nit is very minor, and having a built in rechargeable battery is probably what most will prefer. It certainly has not "dimmed" my appreciation for this lamp, which is now my daily driver.

PROS Plugs in and lights up like it should with an on-off pressure switch in the middle. A brightness level control on the right with 5 levels of brightness. And a temperature control on the left, daylight, yellow light or a mix. I usually leave it on max brightness, and balanced mix for temperature. It remembers your settings. The design is a wide LED bar which is bright enough to light up 2 sheets of music, from top to bottom in a dark room. I used a freebie light for a few days that had two heads. It was pretty bad and I had to use 2 or 3 supplementary desk lights to light up my music. I usually turn this on my music stand, and then use one room lamp for ambient lighting, and it's enough light for my purposes. It's rechargeable so you could take it to a location where there's no power and be fine. The charge seems to hold for 5-6 hours at full brightness, then starts to dim gradually. Gooseneck is solid, seems to work well. The clamp is designed well, holds tight to my music stand without moving around. Also comes with a velveteen bag to carry the light around if you want. I don't plan to use it but it's there. CONS I noticed that when NOT plugged in, the light was actually slightly brighter. When plugged in, it was just slightly dimmer, but still bright enough. Odd but not a huge thing. I usually just leave it plugged in all the time, although with batteries you're supposed to use them, and charge them. But I'm lazy. OVERALL The extra LEDs and lighting power are a worthy upgrade. Its bright enough for most work, musical or otherwise. Unless you're picky or a photographer, it'll probably work fine for music practice sessions.
