I like the weight of this for being wireless. I expected it to be heavier and I'm thankful it's not. I recently replaced my Razer Kraken V1 headset with this and I am not disappointed! I'm prone to headaches from headsets after a short time of playing and I can wear these for hours upon hours without any discomfort! They are just a comfortable, have much better sound quality than my old ones with the 7.1 surround sound. Speech clarity is great, the battery last quite a while. I really like that they can be used via USB, Bluetooth, or with the wireless USB receiver that comes with it. The USB cable that comes with it is very luxurious! Super comfortable for long-term wear. Quality is top notch. Durable as H-E-Double-Toothpicks. Easy to use and install for use with your computer. Clear audio quality and sound. Battery lasts longer than a Mending enchantment in Minecraft. Adjustable mic arm. Exciting colors on the outside. Totally worth the price. I could have bought this headset twice-over for all the money I've wasted on cheaper headsets that didn't work or weren't comfortable. This Razer Kraken is like having your head hugged by a bunny from Stardew Valley. Wearing it, you'll feel cooler than Kratos in Midgard's Fimbulwinter.     • Quality is not what they were shooting for.
The headset had issues from the beginning that I was willing to write off. The settings within the controller would not actually stick with the headset when it was in Bluetooth mode, and would only apply while wired directly. The mic had issues going back into its receptacle after about a week of use. The construction of the adjustable area for the headphones cracked. I haven't even had this thing for a year. Mind you the only place this headset sits is on top of a slim monitor. Overall completely dissatisfied and am down to only one razer device with my setup. The mouse is the only thing that has lasted me a long time. Avoid the overpriced plastic toy that this ended up being. ... show more

    • I love this headset and has redeemed me so far to buy razer headset again stay tuned!
So far I love this headset I use it in the evening while my daughter is asleep so I don't disturb my neighbors because I game and listen to music in the evening time. I had a bad time with my previous Razer headset but this one has redeemed me so far. I like that I have the option to connect it whichever way I need/want to instead of having to buy one with one function this one has all three, wired, USB dongle, and Bluetooth. The only thing I have had an issue with is it randomly disconnects from some of my services like Discord and while I am in a game while still on and having a battery, but I am not sure it's not some kind of interference that I have not ruled out as of yet. But the battery lasts a long time with constant 6-8 hours use and sounds amazing. ... show more

Great battery life. I could play all day for 2 days before needing to recharge it again and mind you that’s TWO WHOLE DAYS. I play a lot sometimes and it’s only died once on me after I didn’t charge it after a week of playing here and there. Sound quality is better than my kraken v3 wireless. I do however miss the bass haptic feature on my old headset as it was fun to listen to bass music every now and then. However this product itself is amazing for gaming. The only reason I do not give it full stars is because the retractable mic can get stuck a lot and I believe if forced in it will break. Which can be scary as I have a bad temper and if I’m trying to get off and push the mic in. It can be frustrating when it doesn’t go in in the first or even the sixth attempt. ... show more

I hate to give a 3 star rating, but this is my first razer purchase that I've been dis-satisfied with. I have owned 3 other razer headsets before the Kraken V4's, multiple keyboards & mouses as well. I am giving the headset a 3 star, because I'm having the issue of the left ear not working. Originally I figured the left & right audio levels had just somehow went Left0% & Right100%, but after quickly figuring out windows sound settings didn't have an L&R levels adjustment for this headset, I decided to research on razer forums & reddit, I've found that, I'm not the only one having the issue with the left ear not working. Seems there is also a couple reviews here as well that state the left ear issue. From what I've concluded from responses on a razer forum, there is a bad connection inside of the left ear, it can't be software related as both ears are suppose to just be 100% at all times from what I've learned, which is why there is no left & right levels adjustment. Other than the left ear not working, the headset is the normal razer quality, braided cables, sturdy build quality & comfortable design. ... show more

I had a Razer Nari Ultimate Cordless Headset I bought off Amazon after being returned. That was an amazing headset that lasted me years. I needed to replace it this year as the battery died and I could only use it plugged in. Unfortunately the Nari are not made anymore, so the next best thing was to be this Razer Kraken V4. Honestly I was never truly impressed. Yes it was lighter but felt fragile. The controls seemed useless with unnecessary downloads to change the settings, but honestly the settings do not do anything useful other than change sound quality. The Kraken could not adjust as wanted between gaming sound and chat sound. It says it can but it cannot. The Nari I could make the chat sound 90% vs gaming sound 10%. I tried with the Kraken and it diminished or made louder all sound. It would not separate them like the Nari (but it said it did). Just a bunch of useless controls for a headset that just seemed less. Then my final thoughts. As stated this felt fragile. I never abused this headset. After 6 months I am sitting here with my headset on and it started feeling very loose. The headset extenders are plastic and 1 side just slowly broke on my head. No I do not have an oversized head. So ya, I don't think I would by a Kraken again. Not as good, cheap, and over priced for something that does not last. ... show more
