I've only used it a dozen times, but I'm already addicted to the finger print option. Saves much time and aggravation. Both the lock and latch work very smoothly. The only glitch is if your opening to receive the bolt is a bit out of position or shape, the bolt may bind up (but that's not the lock's fault). My parents bought these a few years ago and love them. So I bought some. They work great. Sometimes have a hard time reading fingerprints but that is understandable fingers can be dirty and what have ya. Like how we can give guests temporary codes or just tell them how to get in over the phone. They updated the new ones to have silver backs as well which is nice. ... show more

We're quite happy with this. Had it for a couple of months and it's great to be able to have the kids go out without worrying about whether they've taken (or lost) their keys. Also, the fingerprint feature means that I don't have to give anybody a code that can get shared with anyone I don't want it shared with. Solidly built, looks good and operates reliably. Small nit, and it's not the lock. I put it on a new pre-hung door that is very tightly sealed. It requires that users pull the door closed hard enough to compress the weather seal or the lock won't operate well. Not any different than a manual lock, though. At the price--a bargain. I was shown similar locks at four times the price and I don't see what any of them could do any better than this one does. ... show more
