I realized I no longer needed a queen size bed and it was time for a new mattress, so I knew I wanted to downsize. I grew up using a twin bed of various solid wood designs, but I did not want a heavy wood bed so I searched for hours to find this metal one. Originally i was looking at just bed frames with no head or footboard, but I kept wondering how that could keep the mattress in place and looked a bit too plain. So after reading the reviews of various build-it-yourself metal beds I chose this one. It turns out to be a wonderful choice. It was very easy to assemble. I used a 13mm 1/4" drive socket with ratchet wrench instead of the toy wrench they provide, but the supplied Allen key works fine. The bed is very sturdy and the the headboard and footboard keep the mattress in place and keep the pillow or blanket from falling on the floor. I did add a 3/8" thick sheet of plywood across the horizontal slats as I don't think it is good to have a mattress just sitting on the slats since they have a wide gap. The plywood gives even support across all the coil springs in the mattress. I also added 1.5" round floor protectors to the six support posts to help protect my laminate floors. Another good structural feature of this bed is having the supports in the middle, even for a twin bed this is a much more sturdy design. If the design of this bed meets your needs I highly recommend this bed. The one complain I have is with the terrible quality Styrofoam used in the packing. It is the kind that breaks into a zillion little BB size beads and then gets scattered everywhere. I spent more time chasing & cleaning up the Styrofoam than assembling the bed. Molded Styrofoam can be vacuum sealed in plastic film and thus prevent it from breaking into a big mess. I would urge the manufacture to use better Styrofoam. ... show more

I absolutely love this bed frame, it's simple and cute and a little modern. It was very easy to put together, all items where labeled and included. The instructions were easy to follow. I had 1 minor hiccup, one of the post was not drilled correctly for the cap but I decided to just go with it and glue it in place (you would never know). Easy to assemble, took about an hour or so. Perfect for our guest room. With just the mattress on the headboard is the perfect height but with a box spring it’s a bit short once you get all the pillows on.

It’s about time I got a new bed frame for my memory foam bed! This is a really nice and sturdy bed. I started putting it together alone and it got difficult to hold pieces up so I needed my boyfriend to help- it’s definitely a 2 person job! I’ve had it for about a month now and my only complaint is that my/or I think any bed skirt wouldn’t work on here. I have one on, but it looks weird at the foot of the bed.
