Recently, I acquired this artist apron. The material is thick, and the coverage is excellent. So far, I’ve been using it for when I oil paint. However, I also am a printmaker, lapidary artist, calligrapher/ watercolorists, and sculptor. I have not yet tried all of these arts ( and then some) while wearing this apron, but I don’t foresee any problems. It does run long, so be careful going up and down stairs and so forth while wearing it. I chose the patterned one, with the colorful leaves because I figured it would provide good camoflauge if it became stained or soiled. The material feels scotchguarded to me,…but I don’t know if that is indeed the case here. Other than the length and the stair climbing, I feel that this would be a good apron to wear when busy doing messy stuff. I also make skincare and soaps from scratch, and garden as well. If anything new comes up, I’ll come back and update this review.

Our daughter has done pottery for a few years. The problem with aprons is well known with potters. Many will just sit with a towel across their legs to keep them clean and be able to wipe off hands or tools as necessary. When I shows her this, she went ballistic. FABRIC The fabric is a really nice cotton duck. I am not sure if this is 100% cotton or not. The colors are nice and deep and the quality of the weave is excellent. The only complaint I have about this is that there is no fabric content label or washing instructions on this one I got. STYLE The way this is designed is fantastic. The bib is enough to cover the chest, but the band is up high. This allows for sitting. The bottom of the apron is two different panels sewn OVERLAPPED. This has a 7 inch overlap. That is the beauty of the design. It allows you to sit and the apron stays open enough to work, but closed enough to cover well. POCKETS The patch pockets on the side are great for small tools or items, and the one on the bib is great for the smaller tools you might need to jam out of the way for a second and grab again quickly. THE BOTTOM LINE Although this can be used for any artwork, it is especially fantastic for potters. My daughter is over the moon about this. MY RATING FIVE STARS. This is a brilliant design. The quality is excellent, I highly recommend for potters.

I like the color, length, and that there is an opening for the legs so you can protect your clothing while at the wheel by tucking it into where your legs are. Took one star off for the quality of the stitching and fabric, stitching is coming off in some places on first use. The fabric doesn’t absorb any water, so it’s hard to wipe your hands on it, but maybe washing it first would help this?

I really dig how cute this apron is. I love the color. It works well but my biggest flag to anyone buying is its not for people with larger chests. I can tie it around my waist just fine, no problems there. I'm making it work, but if I double checked the dimensions of the part that goes over the chest I would not have purchased it. If you're a smaller chested person it would be perfect.
