My last daybed was 20yrs old and I was running out of duct tape&ideas to keep it together! I saw this and fell in love. I'm no Spring chicken- and they left that HUGE box exactly in the wrong place. But I got it inside, downstairs, and all together BY MYSELF :) So, don't be afraid! All the parts were there and everything was packed well even though the box was banged up. I researched first- I prefer powder-coating paint jobs and this doesn't disappoint. No scratches or gaps or even any dents. I like the colour because my black bed showed dust too quickly, white furniture shows dirt, and this has been a pleasant new, happy addition to my bedroom! It also makes the prints of my bedding POP-( see photos )... I look forward to being able to coordinate things around the cheerful shades of pink :) I hope it won't mind that I'm not a child, I don't weigh a lot, but I'm definitely over 100lbs... *wink* It ISN'T squeaky. I've been on it for months now and I can say it still feels sturdy. My cat enjoys rubbing on all the swirls as well. ONE PROBLEM. The finials do NOT screw in as they should. Period. It's really dicey when you're making the bed and try to steady yourself because these buggers will SPIN away from your touch. Hence my removal of 1 star. I think this is a GREAT buy. My only complaint is that the hardware all comes in one package and you have to separate it all out; would be more convenient if each type of screw was individually packaged. I was able to put this together pretty quickly for my office/guest bed room. I am 250 pounds the first time I laid on it, it did make some adjustments but nothing since. I would hate to use the tool set that comes with it to put it together, I used a ratchet with an Allen wrench attachment.
