I was hesitant having a bed without a box spring but I have just as much support with all the support legs and slats. And without a footboard it is super easy to change bedding often. The box was in good condition and when I opened it up, all parts were included. It was easy to assemble, it just takes a certain amount of time set aside to assemble it.
