First off I've been wearing this style of Corcoran side zipper field Boot for more than 10 years for work and everyday use. I have purchased multiple pairs of these boots over those years. Even though I purchase a new pair every year these boots are tough and hold up to a lot of punishment. I keep the old pair for an additional year for crud work. When I finally do toss out a pair it's kinda hard to do, because I know that boot could last for years. These boots once broken in will be one of the most comfortable pair of boots or shoes you have ever owned. The break in can be a little rough if you have never worn this type of boot before. The last two pairs that I have purchased fit like gloves and needed very little break in time. (A Tip for the break in if the boots are rough on your feet at first. This may seem a little strange but it will help the boot to form to your feet. Wear your new boots with no socks or very thin dress socks while sitting down for an hour or so. Every 15 minutes or so walk around the house or just move your foot around in the boot for a few minutes. What your trying to do is sweat to dampen the leather to help it form to your foot. This may need to be done a few times but it works and it speeds up the break in time. Wearing thick socks will take longer to break in the boot.) If your looking for a good pair of work boots I recommend these boots highly. I also recommend the Corcoran side zipper field boot as a great motorcycle boot, and just an every day dress boot. ... show more

This boot offers excellent comfort of a sneaker with the shine of a dress shoe! I have been to just about every boot website looking for a dress boot that can be worn with a uniform. I'm a conductor and have to work all day on my feet and I have to hop of the train allot and through switches. I'm required to wear a shoe that protects my ankle. The shoe itself is all leather and yes does take time to break in but it worth it!. There are many other military/ police boots similar corcoran is the only booth that offers an all around shine. There is a bates shoe similar but only the heel and toe are shiney and has a big contrast over time. I can't tell you how many compeliments I have recieved from them. The boots come out of the box shined already and you have to do is just break them in!. You can hike in them, work in them awsome shoes. Also I chose the zipper version for easy removal it does come just laced and is more water proof that way. ... show more

First, these are amazing boots. Here is my only issue. Consistency. You can get the same size and slight differences are make it or break it in terms of comfort. Could be reasonable but was too difficult for me to find a pair.

This Boot is the best boot I have ever owned. This is my second pair of this model and they fit as well and as comfortable as the first pair. They breathe well. They dry out fast. The thick soles keep your feet warm in the winter. They keep their look and finish well, with regular maintenance. I am a veteran and I wish they would have issued boots like these, when I was in the Air Force. I ride motorcycles and this boot gives ankle and foot support needed for long thousand mile trips. Because they breathe well, my feet stay comfortable all day long, while riding. I didn't throw away my first pair, I'm having them rebuilt, they will be a great backup. ... show more

Absolutely LOVE these boots. I am a big fan of jump boots, but I can't believe how comfy these are from day 1. Yes, around the ankles they need to wear in a few days, but the boots themselves are so comfy. In the past, the first two weeks of a new pair of jump boots was sheer pain and torture. Not anymore thanks to these! This is my 4th or 5th pair. The price fluctuates a LOT, so I check it once in awhile and wait until the price goes. I am a female who wears an 8.5 and I get these in 6 and they fit perfectly. If you plan to wear thick socks with them in the winter I'd go up a half size. They are not lined which I like because my feet sweat in lined boots! ... show more

To all those who complain that this boot is not comfortable for walking the malls in: It's a combat boot, not a hipster shoe! On another note, this boot shines up like a corofram boot with a little effort and holds a shine like no other. It is comfortable and well made. I had been suffereing from foot problems due to cheap issued boots, bought these, switched out the inserts for orthotics and my feet feel better. The only problem with zip sides, is your socks get pulled a little. I ordered my size boot and they fit well. I highly recommend for warm weather. ... show more

I'm very happy with these boots and the way they look and feel. It took a while for them to be broken in, but once they do break-in, they're very comfortable. Regarding sizing, I wasn't sure what to order. Depending on the shoe I can take anywhere from a 9 to a 10. My Nike and Asics running shoes are both size 10. I read that these might run big so I ordered a 9.5 D and they're perfect. I'm very happy with my purchase. ... show more
