I always keep a portable auto tire compressor in the trunks of my cars because every now and then I pick up a nail or screw in a tire causing at best a slow leak or, worse, a flat tire on the road. For slow leaks it's convenient to add air and that usually gets me home where I can get the puncture fixed. Even with a flat one time, I was able to fill the tire and drive 45 mins to get home before it went too flat again. Other than "emergencies," however, when at home, it's always been a bit inconvenient to plug the compressor into the car's 12 VDC accessory socket. (Remember when they were called cigarette lighters?) One of the compressors I currently have is losing it's strength, even when used with its120 VAC power option, so with this one being chargeable and therefore "cordless," I picked it up. The 20 VDC battery unit came fully charged so it took only a few minutes for the little red light to turn green. (In the directions it says it will turn blue, but that seems to be a typo or mistranslation.) There is a 3-bar LED indicator on the battery to show how charged it is, in thirds or capacity. The battery pack is large enough to operate the compressor easily for typical automobile tires. My only complaint while using it, testing it for this review, is the tire valve clamp that these all seem to come with now is quite hard to physically connect. I had to use two hands, one to hold the valve stem and the other to squeeze the lever shut. Also the lever is attached to the clamp body with a sharp-edged pin so I ended up using gloves to protect my fingers. I suppose if I had bigger hands and/or more hand strength this wouldn't be a problem. There's a warning tag on the air hose to not touch the hose while using it. I was a little surprised to learn it warms up and may get hot with extended use. Not sure what that's about and I haven't see that before, but it seems to be normal for this brand of compressor. The carrying case is better designed and looks more durable than usual. It uses a relatively solid foam block with cut-outs for the parts and is made of some kind of poly material with a zippered lid. You could also leave the whole thing in the sturdy box it comes in. ... show more

Keeping you vehicle tires properly inflated improves gas mileage and extends the life of your tires. With my other compressor I have to put air in the tire and then check the pressure with a gauge. With this one I put the air hose on the tires and it filled each one to 36 PSI and then it clicked off. Easy Peasy! The display shows the tire's pressure. Not one of mine had the same amount of pressure. The air pressure of the four tires ranged from 30 to 34 pounds. Now they all have the recommended 36 psi. The Veapoot Tire Inflator comes with nice carrying kit, a rechargeable battery and a car power adapter. As much as I love this compressor, I had to deduct one star because when I tried the car adapter it pushed the male prongs into the air gun and they simply disappeared. This shouldn't be an issue if the battery is kept charged and I still whole heartedly recommend the Veapoot Tire Inflator. It will save me money and time. ... show more

I love that this comes in a nice zippered storage bag for keeping in the car! Definitely makes me feel better having something in case of emergency, and huge plus that it doesn't have to be plugged in to the cigarette lighter to work! The media could not be loaded. The Viapoot inflator came in a very nice nylon case with styrofoam cutouts. There was an assortment of various inflator tips and the 20V battery was fully charged according to the LED indicator lights. There was a Class 2 power supply and a 12V power supply with an attached warning that you should start your vehicle prior to attempting to charge the 20V inflator. The instruction manual was adequate, and the controls on the inflator were intuitive. I deflated a cold 205/45 R 17 tire from 33 psi to 13 psi using my tire gauge. I attached the inflator and when I started it the readout showed 13 psi. I started a timer, and when the inflator stopped, at an indicated pressure of 33 psi, 2 minutes and 42 seconds had passed. There was a brief spike in the reading right after it shut off, but I believe it was the inflator venting excess pressure. I checked the tire's pressure with my gauge, and it was spot on. The battery indicator indicated it still had a full charge. The time needed to inflate my tire, which is much smaller than the truck tire inflated in the website, took a little longer than the quoted time for the larger tire. That being stated, I still think this is a nice tool, worthy of a 5 star review. I will be using it for all jobs that don't require a compressor. ... show more

This inflator is really great. It comes with a very nice carrying case so you don't loose any of the accessories or charging cord. With summer here the adapters make it super easy to inflate pool toys. What I like the most is the auto shutoff when it reaches the correct air pressure. No more under inflated or over inflated tires. The last time I needed to get air on my tires I had to drive to 4 different gas stations because the air machines where not working. So this is going to save me time in the future. The quality seems very good so I would expect this item to last for a while. Overall a great item that I would highly recommend. ... show more
