I use this series for teaching English as a second language. This book is great for beginning learners. Using it with the student book, it allows students to do useful work at home. The CD is a fun way to practice speaking. It's appropriate for everyone from middle school through older adults.

My son has lived all his life in Japan, so I wanted to get him some books to study English before starting school in the US. We've tried a couple of different texts before, and so far he seems to enjoy this one best. I am already planning on getting the next set in the series.

This appears to be a good method, but it didn't fit my need. I was tutoring someone with fairly good vocabulary but who needed more sentence structure.
