5 stars, the bike itself is a very good first child’s starter bike. The customer service with VDL has been amazing. My son was having some issues with his speed and they were so quick to find a solution. Only downfall is the actual bike tires are a little flimsy. My son has had it about a month and both front and back tires are almost bald. As far as everything else, it’s a good bike and worth the price! Once this company heard about my son’s bike tires becoming bald after one month they were so quick to assist with replacements. The customer service with VDL has to be one of the best I’ve ever experienced. 10/10

for some reason the rear shocks did not come already installed. when trying to install them the frame holes do not line up to be able to put the shock on the left rear side. without the shocks on the pedals are barely off the ground and scrape. update After some back and forth the customer service rep was very apologetic for the inconvenience and offered an adjustment to compensate for the tools we had to purchase to get the shocks to install. They were very prompt at replying and very friendly even when I was a bit frustrated. They explained why the shocks fo not come pre-installed. After all that my son does love riding his ebike around town. Definitely a sturdy bike and hopefully holds up for years to come.

Garbage. I bought this for my son as a Christmas gift and it broke within 6 months. Completely inoperable now and not worth the cost the diagnose and fix the electrical issues. Look elsewhere.
