Pros: -It fit my purpose for organizing kitchen stuff. -Suprisingly very light. -Easy to assemble. -Looks better than a wire frame shelf. -Post cut-out on shelves are percise. Little to no gap. Cons: -Made of very thin gauge SS that can easily be dented on both post and shelves. -1 shelf a rib ran length wise, while 3 shelves has 2 ribs that ran width wise. Ribs running length wise is perferable. -Ribs are only spot welded at the ends. Double sided tape was used to hold the rib(s) in place and was not spot welded anywhere else for strength or rigidity from bowing, sagging or drooping. Most likely due to how thin it is. -Suseptable to fingerprint marks. -Came with no instructions. Would I buy it again? Probably. Would I trust the weight capacity? No. Will it last? I hope so. Shelving unit is very sturdy and this afforded me the ability to get all my appliances off odd tables, countertops, and the eating table in downstairs kitchen. The shipping packaging needs some beefing up AND on all but one shelf, I was able to move the damage to the shelves against my back wall. The unit itself is a medium weight well constructed unit....AFTER you figure out how to assemble it. This is what worked for me. Assemble top and bottom separately UPSIDE DOWN. Laying them across 2 large rubbermaid storage bins worked for me. In other words start at the top with the shelves bottom side up for easy access to the pre drilled holes for the pole bolt. Put the pole protector and then the bolt onto and thru the pole. Put the bolt thru the pre drilled shelf hole and lightly secure with the washer and locking nut. Do this for all 4 poles. THE POLES LOOK LIKE THEY WON'T FIT...DON'T WORRY. As you tighten the bolts with the allyn wrench provided they will fit the pre cut out on the shelf. Turn each section upright. Slide the top onto the bottom. I hope you find this helpful. I gave it a score of 3 because there are no assembly instructions provided. However 72 year old WF did it after I figured out the logistics. The unit is serving me well. ... show more

The reviews for these shelves were pretty spot on. Came much faster than expected. They are sturdy once assembled but the metal for the shelves is not very thick so they sent easily. Assembling is a bear. Each corner has to be bolted into place and the size of the shelves means you should really have two people. But overall worked for what I needed and for this price point they are a good value as long as you don’t mind the assembly. ... show more

This unit shipped faster than I expected. It is not heavy duty, but then again it is a pretty great value given the pricepoint. You can get a heavy duty quality version of this type of shelving unit for 5x or 6x the cost. I don't plan on using it as a ladder or storing massively heavy machinery on it. It is plenty durable for my needs and importantly, it is stainless steel with very easy to clean surfaces that won't tarnish or oxidize in response to cleaning agents or other solvents. I bought a second unit after setting up and inspecting the first one. Like some Ikea products the name of the game is to be as cheap as possible without being too cheap. All of the edges underneath/behind the curled lip of the shelves are tucked in so you won't accidentally cut yourself when feeling or grasping from underneath the shelf. This is a detail often unattended to in cheap products. Assembly took me maybe 30 - 40 mins. My only negative critique is that both units arrived with some dents and dings in the outermost shelves as packed. The boxes were pretty beat, it was obvious that the shipping agents did not handle with care. Nothing I found too bothersome, but they could stand to add a foam or bubble wrap layer between the packed unit and the cardboard box to hedge against abusive delivery. ... show more

Residential use. Sturdy. Some blemishes but it was delivered to my door. If you expect restaurant grade stainless shelving then expect to pay $2,200. I like how it looks.
