Finally got to use this item this past weekend and it worked flawlessly! Saved so much hassle of having to go up and down a ladder and all the hand pumping. The weight of the unit itself is very light. There were no leaks at all and the included battery pumped through 2 tanks if liquid and still had plenty of life left do do more. I feel that the 4.2gal size is the best compromise on size and ease of use... 4.2 gal of water is 32lb... I think it would be harder to fill and then put on the 5gal one And I feel the 3 gallon one would require more frequent fill-up which could be an issue if you're hiking in to do your spraying..like keeping weeds down around treestands and such. Can't comment yet on the durability as I've only used it one time.. I did spray a stiff bleach and water mixture through it and when I was done I rinsed the resivour and pumped clear water through the system to clean it of chemicals. Allin all I'm very pleased with this and recommend it based on my experience.

I bought this for some little stuff around the house and I ended up helping a small company y with some weed spraying. I am floored as to how well this backpack works, the pressure it sprays at and the battery life. I think I went through at least 30 gallons if not more and the battery still had power left to spare. I like the user friendliness of it. Unlike the other sprayers with electronics in the handle, this one is a standard spray wand so if the handle or hose ever gets snagged on something and breaks I can very easily put any old generic hose and wand on it. I actually like spraying weeds now!!

You really get a lot for the price. It works well. I went through about 3 of the Harbor Freight manual pump 4 gallon sprayers before I found this one. This unit works with all my Dewalt batteries and I no longer have to manually pump to get the pressure. Even better, the battery seems to last a number of times before I have to charge it. It is a real time-saver and the 3 gallon weight (for me) is a perfect selection. I hope it holds up.

This product works well and is fairly easy to use. However, be aware that it weighs about 40 lbs. when full, and it does not come with a belt - which should be somewhat wide, and it does support ( I use my tool belt). Also, whiile you can control the spray dispenser, you cannot easily reach the on/off switch when in use (but this isn't usually necessary).

This might surprise you, it did me. I'm always a little skeptical, just my nature I guess. But I ordered this sprayer after a thorough research. I liked right off that it would work with my existing Dewalt batteries and the price was very good. I really didn't realize at first that this actually came with a battery and charger. Yes! Received unit on time, battery was already charged and ready to go. I put some water in it to try and also see what all the different nozzles did. Quite nice, and the pump has very good pressure. Another important fact is you can adjust the pressure while your spraying which is handy. Unit has a battery voltage guage on it as well. I will say it is a little cumbersome to make that pressure adjustment with it on your back but I'll get used to it. I have used it several times now with different chemicals. Sprayed the outside of house with a cleaner before pressure washing, sprayed some trees with insecticide and sprayed the concrete driveway with a solution before pressure washing . Worked great and the best part ..no more hand pumping, YAY! A note: I did spend $10 more and got the extended warranty, Just in case. Hope this helps someone..

before this i had a 2 gallon hand sprayer but it w0ould lose pressure and i would have to carry it around my property fence line leading to back issues. You especially would feel that in teh sun and the heat..!! This thing is a game changer.!! It uses standard dewalt batteries but the battery that comes with it itself is pretty long lasting.! i spray around my house, shop and a 2 acres fence line and it would not go won 1 bar after i am done..!! Also, the water flow rate is pretty good. I can finish 4 gallons in about 15 mins.!! so really good to spray big areas.

After using this sprayer, my immediate reaction was: "Why didn't I buy one sooner?" For years, I used hand-pump sprayers and was satisfied with them—until I needed to spray my taller fruit trees. I purchased a 14-foot telescopic extension wand, but I was concerned that the sprayer would not have enough pressure to push the liquid all the way to the top. Some reviews of extension wands mentioned that certain sprayers could not reach the upper branches of tall trees. To my surprise, this sprayer had no problem at all. Even on a moderate pressure setting, it delivered enough pressure to reach the top of my fruit trees through the extension wand. Another feature I have come to appreciate is the adjustable pressure control. With a simple turn of a knob, I can adjust the pressure from very low to high and maintain a consistent pressure level while spraying. That may not sound important until you have used a hand-pump sprayer. With a hand pump, the pressure is constantly changing and requires frequent pumping. For larger jobs, having a steady, adjustable pressure makes spraying much easier and more consistent. The benefit is not limited to tall trees. This sprayer is simply much more convenient than a hand-pump sprayer. I can finish spraying jobs in a fraction of the time and without the constant pumping. What impressed me most, however, was the customer service. Shane from customer service responded quickly and resolved my concern without making the process difficult. That level of support exceeded my expectations and was far better than what I have experienced from many other companies. Based on both the product performance and the customer support, I highly recommend this sprayer and VAXMAY Direct.

Good sprayer at a good price. Easy assembly and first use worked well. Wish it came with adjustable nozzle, so I checked the thread size and ordered one that will fit. Thread is M14-1.5 for those wanting to do the same.
