It's a bit hard to use since they don't stay uncurled and I scratched up my skin multiple times trying to get them to uncurl. You also have to be careful pulling them out, since they tend to curl up again as the come out of the drain, potentially flinging gunk! But I do like that they're flexible and long. I purchased another brand that was straight (no need to uncurl!) but they were shorter and slightly less flexible so I'm willing to put up with this one.

I am usually not in such a hurry to write reviews, but I just used this product a few minutes ago, and I am absolutely amazed! My bathroom sink has been partially clogged for a while, and, although a plumber had looked at it, it really didn’t improve. Mind you, I am very careful, not even brushing my hair where there is a danger of it going into the sink. I bought these little miracles on a whim, thinking they couldn’t hurt, but not expecting much help either. Wow, I am amazed! I just used one in my sink, and I could not believe the gunk I pulled out (sorry to be so graphic!). In addition, this little product not only pulled out an earring I had lost, but what looks like a nail (as in the hammering kind!) that someone must have dropped! And it’s so simple to use! The clog is gone and the water is running through perfectly now. I am embarrassed that my sink had gotten in such condition, but I am also thrilled at how much money I have no doubt saved on plumbing bills. This product more than lives up to its description. Buy it! You may not need it now, but save it for when you do!

The product works really well, but it's only good for one trip down the drain. After that, it's too gunky to try a second pass into the drain. I tried to clean it off and use it again, but the hair just wouldn't come off. (That's a good thing when pulling out of the drain.) I ended up using at least two "wands" for every drain. That's far less uses from one package than I anticipated.

I highly recommend this product. I am sure the bathroom sink was full of 40 years of hear and God knows what. When we moved into this house bathroom sink was o plugged up I couldn't wash my face or brush my teeth without the sink filling up with water. We tried pulling the hair out with a variety of items. Drain products promoted as getting anything out of a plugged sink didn't work. You name it - we tried it. UGH! I bought these as they were so inexpensive and the reviews were good. I couldn't really be disappointed given the price and Amazon's return policy. These worked wonderfully. They worked so well - I couldn't do it myself. What came out was so disgusting I couldn't stand to see it. The product was put in the drain without removing the plug gizmo. It was put in over and over and over again. I wasn't watching but could hear the "wows" coming from the bathroom. Decades of black hair came out in long strands or clumps. Enough hair to make a wig - a real disgusting one I am told. The last attempt, nothing came out and the water ran and runs smoothly without filling up the sink. We are so thrilled! The product did not break - not that it would make any difference in the horrid mess in the pipes. We tossed the one that was used. I am thrilled to have extras if we ever need them. I hope not! I highly recommend this product! I would recommend it if it cost much much more. it worked beyond any expectations I might ever have or had. This can't be beat! Buy it and try it - you will be thrilled!

one of those few reviews with gross pics :D Bathroom sink drain keeps clogging up. Used DRANO max and the problem would return after 2-3 weeks. it was a pain and some searching revealed this baby as a much better solution (no chemicals to mess up the environment and an easy fix as well). I go all nuclear on the bathroom sink with this and well, ZILCH.. NADA.. NOTHING.. not a strand of hair was pulled out. Had almost written it off and was raising a request for return but then thought of it as too much hassle and say a bad product. 2 weeks later and now the bathroom tub drain is clogged up big (it was trickling all these days). i couldnt get the drain cover off and just wedged this in the small opening there and pulled at it. HOLY COW!! i could have made a wig from that amount of hair easily. (the tub pic is towards the very end of the exercise, trash can shows some of the hair in it). i am sure if i can take the drain cover off i will have another handful of hair easily. bath tub drain feels like it can double up as a storm drain now :D the product is very well made. i really had to pull the hair out and the hook at the end helps, not a thing broke and the spikes are there to clean it for many more days to come. Cons -- i would tell kiddo to hurry up in the shower since the water would fill up and drain slowly and it used to work. not so much anymore. Pros -- i could finally get in some words asking her to be careful with not washing the hair down the drain and for once there wasnt much argument about it. but thats not because of the product but because i am bald. highly recommended.

This tool alone did not do the job, but I was able to use this tool to get the hair clogged closer to the top so I could use other tools to grab it. I also used needle nose pliers, and a hooked end pointy driver. I had to insert the tool numerous times and pull the hair up with the pliers, but I couldn't have reached the hair without it. My drain is flowing much better now. I recommend just throwing it away after use. It is not worth reusing.
