This may not be perfect, but here we go.. I Love this product!! It arrives in a heavy small box - you will need to put it together. It requires a drill I’m thinking / I do not assemble and I watched him so he used a drill with the Allen wrenches that I think come with this. It took him about 30-45 minutes to assemble but the end result is Awesome! We got this bc we have a teen son who has lots of shoes and they were everywhere. This allows us to stack them and not trip over them. A godsend. We got the dark wood one and it’s beautiful, well made and sturdy. Totally recommend - just be prepared to put it together - it takes some time- well worth the money and time!! ... show more

I needed a place to store my shoes. I wear size 11-11.5 and this rack fit most of my shoes just fine. I dont have boots, I doubt boots in my size would fit side my side on this rack, but for running shoes or sneakers, or general casual wear it does work. Anyone with 11.5+ though might want to consider something else, the platforms would be too narrow without having to flip your sneakers sideways. Not really for collectors, but for every day use shoes as it does not really put them on a 'display' in my opinion. Material feels sturdy. It does take a little time to assemble, but no drilling required, just a decent screwdriver. Would help cut time to have an electric drill/screwdriver with a proper tips for screwing stuff down, but would recommend low power (take it slow) to preserve the wood if you do so. But Hand cranking will leave you sore for sure. Took me about 50 minutes, but I did not use power tools and hand cranked all the screws/hex keys. I should also mention I have built similar furniture before and felt I had a decent pace going. All the connecting screws and hexs have a good hold when screwed in properly with care. It built evenly as well. without any defects in the wood or defects in the connections. Has 2 hooks. For my particular setup I had to put the hooks both on one side. But its enough to hang a few daily use hats, a belt, scarf, tie, or a hanger with some clothing set aside to change into shortly. One thing to keep in mind, the whole structure feels sturdy, but is MUCH sturdier with shoes already in it. The weight of the shoes on the rack holds the weight you put on the hooks better without tilting. If the rack is empty it might have a tendency to lean or even fall over if you put a heavy coat or like a whole outfit on it or. It is more for lighter smaller things like I mentioned above Overall for the price, it is what I was looking for. Overall, this is the best shoe rack/shelf on the market right now by far (for the price). It has the look and feel of IKEA stuff. It indeed is very sturdy, and made well. The only relevant negative comments are mostly about assembly and the screw heads being visible. I will say assembly will be a challenge for many. We are so spoiled by IKEA instructions lol.. my advice is, just pay attention. It’s not complicated but it isn’t the easiest thing I’ve assembled and I consider myself pretty good with stuff like this. As for the provided allen key it’s useless. My professional allen bits wouldn’t fit in the screw heads (yes it was the right size) so I cut the curved part of their allen wrench off with a hacksaw and put the remaining straight part in my drill and voila! After assembly, it stands strong and solid. As for the visible screw heads, I’m just going to get little round white stickers. Easy fix. As long as you’re confident assembling things or know someone who is, you’ll love this rack! ... show more

Perfect problem solver! I needed shoes up off the floor for easier vacuuming. Utilize vertical space. Love that wood grain fits rt in seamlessly. 4 stars only bc be prepared to have your hands do a lot of Allen wrench work. In the end worth it. Very nice looking and sturdy. Space-saving

Needed a shoe shelf for my husband that would fit into a very specific width and depth. This was perfect! It took me about 45 minutes to put together by myself. Instructions were pretty clear and all parts were provided and easily identified. No damage to any pieces. It may have been even faster if I could have used my electric screwdriver, but I didn't have a small enough hex bit to fit their screws. They provided a hex wrench, so all was fine. They provide hooks that you can mount on either side of the finished shelf unit. I didn't use them simply because we didn't need them. The end result looks very nice and feels quite sturdy without being too heavy to move. I was able to move the finished unit from one room into the closet and into place by myself. They also provide a mounting bracket to secure the unit to the wall if desired. Shelves are wide enough and deep enough to fit hubby's size 12 wide shoes. One pair was too tall for the shelf but still fit nicely laid side-by-side. The color coordinated really well with our closet shelving. Very pleased with the shelf and would definitely recommend. ... show more

Very sturdy shoe rack. Instructions are good. Can be used for other things if needed. All hardware was included with extras. Very attractive, too. It fits in a slim space unused space.     • Multiple failure points in quality - couldn't assemble

This product looked great - exactly the form and dimensions I needed. Expectations weren't high for the price point; however, the parts I received couldn't be assembled properly. 1. Wooden pegs were much smaller than the holes, so sat loosely and kept falling out while trying to assemble. 2. Holes for the long screws were, in many cases, not nearly deep enough and would take much manual time with a drill to fix, and the pressboard is dense enough that additional pressure with the screwdriver was not enough to drive the screw deeper. The supplied Allen wrench is pretty flimsy and couldn't generate the torque needed to finish the job. 3. Finally, the metal of the screws was soft enough that the head stripped and lost any ability to catch after the first use of a battery-driven screwdriver. Honestly, I would return this, but the time required to re-box and ship a return would cost more than the item price. Glad that so many have had a good experience, based on the 1000+ ratings and 4.6 average. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. ... show more
