The metal frame base provides excellent support, making it a great addition to our apartment. Assembly was mostly straightforward, though we did struggle a bit with Step 3. Fortunately, we were able to figure it out, and once assembled, the table was sturdy and well-crafted. These chairs have a solid metal frame, but the seat and back are NOT made out of wood as the item description says. Read the fine print in the specs. They are particle board coated with plastic. Buyer beware that they might not be as great a deal as they seem. They look good enough though and I’m keeping them.
