I bought two of these shelves for the entryway of my home. I was worried they would be cheap looking, but the positive reviews convinced me to buy them. I'm glad I did, they're a great deal for the price. I am transitioning my decorations to a modern farmhouse look, and these fit right in. The assembly was kind of a pain, but I put them together myself. If I had waited for my husband to help me, things would have been easier. But I didn't feel like waiting. :-) Once assembled with all the bolts tightened, the furniture is pretty sturdy. It's not real wood, but the grain pattern on the shelves looks okay. The iron supports are black with a powder finish. The shelves are perfectly sized for the items I wanted to display. I recommend!

This bookcase is really small. Still looks nice but small. See size compared to my gamer chair... i had lots of things I wanted to put in this bookcase to include my new cricut maker but that barely fit in there may need to relocate somewhere sturdier. I really need to take my measurements prior to purchasing things online. That was my bad. The bookcase was easy to assemble. I really appreciate the Z shaped hex key which made things speedier. Quality was ok, it was wobbly so I had to stick a little felt pad on that short leg. I don't have time to disassemble besides the box was really best up with small pieces of Styrofoam everywhere so I can't return it.

I bought two of these and they arrived two different days. Putting the first one together we ran into some problems. The pre drilled hole some some of the boards didn't line up. A bit of a slow down but thankfully we had a drill and improvised. We still put it together just as it should be. The second one arrived and we were prepared to do the same process as the first one, but this one we had no problems with and everything lined up perfectly. We are using these as multi media shelfs to hold xbox and etc. once we get the flooring completed and the wiring done. The measurements of the shelfs work perfectly for my needs.

I bought this to hold my many vinyl records collection, and they fit perfectly. I would just say take-your-time, have patience, with assembly; do not force anything, be sure every thing is lined up during assembly. Follow the assembly directions. The large long screws are going directly into the particle board shelf, BUT it is a heavier density board and has properly pre-drilled holes for the screws. Keep the item parts level and supported when placing screws! They provide a wrench so, really, you do not need anything else to assemble. Once assembled, it is strong & sturdy enough for its use and purpose. Just respect its materials and structure and you may never have any problem (for example, you should remove or empty items from shelves before moving the unit, and certainly do not drag it around; just grab the metal posts and lift when moving.) Also, I am lucky that the Matte Black metal & RUSTIC DARK BROWN wood color/texture matches my Entertainment Center/Bookcases that I paid over $2000 for from a very expensive furniture place called Arhaus (RUSTIC DARK BROWN matches the Arhaus 'Palmer' Collection color: Bali Brown). Even the shape/design is like my Bookcases shape/design. I am now also buying the taller version, the VASAGLE ALINRU Ladder Shelf, 5-Tier Bookshelf.

I was hesitant to buy because of all of the mixed reviews. It seems like some of these products are better than others. Speaking from my experience, I am very pleased. It was very easy to put together, it looks cute, it was reasonably priced. It is a little on the shorter size, but it works for my space. There were complaints of it being u sturdy but I did not have that issues. It looks cute with the decor, still a work in progress.

Love how this looks. Classy look for the price-conscious. Matches other products in this line (Songmics Vintage). Check the dimensions. This line of furniture is smaller than average. For me, the dimensions were perfect - it is for a smaller basement room with 7 foot ceilings, so smaller furniture is necessary / helpful to make the room look bigger. I also liked that I could arrange my books against the metal support poles on either side to keep them standing upright (no need to purchase bookends). If you have typical ceilings (8-9 feet) be sure to measure and know what to expect. This seller does make larger furniture if that's what you need. Assembly Instructions are basic but visually helpful - pay attention to the letter labels on the parts. The cross brace requires some strength to attach - put the four screws in loosely first if possible, then tighten all the way once all four are in place.
