The pegs keep slipping. We CANNOT keep it in tune. It's totally useless. I bought it around Christmas time for a kid who's birthday is in February. Bad idea, cause now the return window is closed and I can't return this piece of garbage.

This violin is beautiful in person. It gives a sharp clean sound when its played. Just minor tuning to get used to. I can play a number of songs. And my teachers eye's lit up when she saw it. It is a great addition to my violin collection. I now have 2 violins. Would buy again. Happy I made this purchase.

Excellent for the price. I'm not going to pretend that this is a concert quality instrument, but if you're looking for a violin for beginners this is of a build quality that won't lead to frustration. It produces a wonderful sound, and it doesn't feel at all flimsy. I tested the purple version, and while I'd prefer a classic look I think this colour would be more fun for kids.
