As other reviewers have pointed out, there was no rosin. I think better to have none than for it to be a mess in pieces. At least I knew ahead of time from the reviews; I bought it separately, along with a shoulder rest. Speaking of shoulder rests, a reviewer said the panel got in the way, and maybe it does a little bit, but it’s supposed to go on at an angle… There were a few nicks in the violin, but I’m okay with that; for this price, I wasn’t expecting perfection. Other reviewers were saying the tuning pegs were bad (so I bought extras), but I’m pretty sure they weren’t pushing in while turning (mine work fine, so I really shouldn’t have bought those extras); the violin came with pretty clear instructions and diagrams. I appreciated that little pamphlet for beginners. It’s stayed in tune a lot better than the cheap harp I bought recently. And as advertised in the picture, the violin is quite pretty. What I love about it is the fact that is full 4/4, acoustic, and electric. Comes with an okay bow. Comes with replacement strings. And it is just beautiful. I highly highly recommend.

I bought this violin because I wanted to learn to play. I was looking for a violin that was going to give good sound without breaking the bank since I'm just starting out. The rosin was shattered, which I expected, but it did make a mess inside the case. One of the strings was broken but I had ordered different strings to put on it anyway. The case is serviceable and I have no complaints about it. The violin is beautiful. Might want to invest in peg compound for the tuning pegs, they want to slip and it takes a fair amount of force to keep them in place. Other than that, it's wonderful and not so expensive that I will feel buyers remorse if it doesn't work out. ... show more

When receiving the item the rosin is all broken up the instrument itself is out of tune the inside of the case is SUPER rough so be careful love the design of the instrument. 6/8/22 *update* the bow is horrible it doesn't make the instument sound well sp I had to replace it with my other bow.

Well, I will start with the bad. The rosin was shattered to tiny bits and the sound post was dislodged. So, now the sound post is rattling around in my violin, so I am not happy about that. It also looks burnt around the f-holes. I am a beginner so it sounds good enough for me. It is beautiful and appears just like the picture. The case is very nice. Overall I like it and I think it is a good product for the money spent. I would purchase again . ... show more
