It seems Kennedy is very concerned with your happiness. Their contact info is on every piece of literature. The wood is beautiful. The tone is very good. This is definitely a mid range instrument at a good price point. The only reason I gave them a 4 was when it was assembled, they were very heavy handed with the glue. Every seam has extra glue which is easily seen.

Kennedy Violins addressed all the usual concerns with buying an acoustic instrument, a violin in this case, online. They set it up before shipping it, so beginners like me don't have to worry about where to place bridge for optimal sound. This instrument looks like its worth way more then what we paid for it. And it comes with apparently really good strings. I don't know much about the quality of strings on a violin, just repeating what the violin teacher had to say about it. Kennedy Violins team ship this violin with a load of goodies including a sturdy functional bag for the violin. This violin has an awesome tone to match the looks! Violin teacher says this is a really good violin.

I almost returned it for the wrong reason, but Kennedy violins DO care about their customers. My bow seemed to come from a bad batch and was jumping around, which made me believe there is something wrong with the violin itself. They send me a new one free of charge, and then I discovered the real sound of this violin. I am an amateur (not professional musician), performing at Church and small concerts and I love the sound of this violin. Thanks KV !

I bought the Etude Violin as a Christmas present for my daughter (she was quickly out-growing her 1/2 size and needed a replacement). Her music instructor helped us pick this particular model and my daughter couldn't be happier with it. The pictures do not do the case justice - it is an upgraded case compared to the standard black nylon cases that come with most violins. As for the violin, the wood is beautiful (no plastic) and the sound is rich and clear; it even came tuned. Three months later, Kennedy Violins called (I spoke to Elizabeth) to confirm our satisfaction. What a pleasant surprise to know that the company was concerned about their customer's satisfaction! When my daughter is ready for a full size, we will definitely return to Kennedy Violins.
