This unit single-handedly improved the quality of living at our home by completely replacing our old tank system. I had planned on upgrading for a while but the big name brands were entirely cost prohibitive. Given the incredible value for money this unit offered, I decided to take a chance. When the box arrived, I honestly thought it was a joke or the wrong item because it was unbelievably small and light compared to the bulky gas heaters I have used in the past. After confirming it was indeed the correct item, I cleared my afternoon schedule and got to work. The installation was surprisingly easy since I was able to mount it right near my main breaker panel. This meant I did not need to run a massive length of heavy electrical wire. You do need to ensure your panel has the available capacity and physical space because this unit demands a significant amount of immediate power when it activates. If you are switching over from a traditional setup and do not know exactly what you are doing with electrical codes, I highly suggest hiring an electrician. Once wired up, the functionality has been absolutely flawless. The real magic became obvious the moment we turned on the faucet. The heating speed is fantastic and the effects were instant. We no longer have to worry about running out of hot water or scheduling showers around running the dishwasher. I was especially impressed with the water temperature consistency. Unlike gas heaters, I have not experienced that dreaded cold water sandwich effect when you turn the flow off and back on again. The intelligent temperature control automatically adjusts the power draw based on what is currently running. I monitored my home energy app and could actively see it using less power for a simple bathroom sink compared to running a heavy appliance. I am thrilled with the reduced energy bill and my wife is thrilled about gaining an extra storage closet. The entire household is just incredibly happy to never wonder when the last person took a shower.

This hot water heater is a fantastic upgrade. It looks great, works great and was easy to install. Our old instant-on water heater was similar, but used two 60A circuits of 240VAC so we were able to use those wires and ran one more set to get this one wired up. After swapping two breakers and shuffling a few things to free up a third 240V 40A breaker we were off to the races, as they say. This unit gets hot faster, looks better and seems to be all around a much better unit. It uses the same 3/4 inch size ports so it seems to move the same amount of water. But, since we are able to heat that water hotter, faster and more efficiently we get our water sooner and can mix more cold water with it, increasing the total flow at the shower-head. This hot water heater is very reasonably priced, well-made and rock-solid all adding up to an outstanding value for us. We love how it has worked for the last month and would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a new water heater.

This unit is a solid performer for the price. I installed it in my garage to handle hot water for the kitchen and bathroom, and it keeps up without breaking a sweat. The self-modulating feature actually works. It ramps down when I just need a quick rinse and kicks back up when both showers are running. Installation was straightforward with the included hardware, though you will absolutely need an electrician since it demands three 8-gauge wires at 240V. The compact size is great for tight spaces, and mine fits perfectly under my utility sink cabinet with room to spare... Overall very happy with this purchase.
