Good small tool box , was what I needed but it was delivered with a dent on one corner of the lid . I straightened it out as best I could , I’m keeping it. But I don’t think I will ever order a tool box again

I bought this despite the fact that Amazon told me it wouldn't fit. On UWS website this is the exact model they recommend for my 2015 z71 short bed Colorado. It fits perfectly. I love this box. At only 9" tall, it gives me plenty of space underneath to still put thins in my bed, while giving me enough storage outside of my cab to put things like jumper cables, basic tools, etc. if you are looking for a professional box, this is not it. This is designed to be a standard truck owners extra box for the bed to put a few things in. If you are looking for a box to put all your professional tools for the job site, get a different box. Box came with no dents, dings, or any other kind of damage. It DID come with the j hooks to mount it. The bed rail on the Colorado does not extend all the way forward, so there was nothing to hook to at the location where the pre drilled holes are, so I drilled my own set of holes using a 1/4" bit. Works perfectly.

Did a lot of research and there aren't a lot of options for a narrow, low-profile truck tool box. I didn't want to give up 20" of my short bed to the tools box, and this is a slim 12 inches. I'm using it for road-side emergency stuff like jumper cables, folding shovel, and some basic tools. This wouldn't be a great choice for storing lots of tools. The J hooks that come with this are pretty weak, basically just a clipped u-bolt. Get a proper set of mounting hardware, you'll only need two hooks. Overall, I really like it--fits right, decently finished. Good value choice.

The photos on Amazon were both incorrect when I purchased this truck box. I emailed UWS and they sent me the true photos and demetions. I posted photos so others could see the true size of the box. I love that it leaves space in the bed so it is easy to clean out underneath and have space for loads. This is a well made truck box. Very high quality. It has spots for your screw drivers, a tray, and an inside cover over the pull rod so it does not get hung up on the inside. Does not block much at all of my view out the back. Would recommend if you are looking for a compact truck box to leave room for loads.

This is my 2nd UWS box simply there the best first one I had in two different trucks over 18 years always worked just sold truck with it so got a new one

This tool box is not cheaply made. I like the double locking mechanisms on both sides. It was perfect for my ‘15 Tacoma. I like the pattern of the metal and the glossy finish.
