Description

How does a black light find pet urine? Why is some cat urine undetectable? Wavelengths in a blacklight cause phosphorus and proteins in pet urine to glow, exposing the cause of odors and concealed stains. A low-phosphorus diets will result in a low levels of phosphate in the urine of cats, their urine will be undetectable. Why the wet urine stain and wet potty pad is not detectable? UV light is only effective for detecting dry pet urine. Fresh urine, urine that is not completely dry may cause the UV light to be very weak or not glow. Allow the pee to completely dry before attempting to identify it with for the brightest glow. Why I cannot find stains in the room? 1. It works best in a complete dark environment. The darker it is, the better it works; 2. For a few dark color carpets, the reflected stain color may will be very close to the color of the carpet, making it harder to see. Why the flashlight cannot be turned on when it arrived? Please unscrew the battery compartment and remove the insulator sheet for battery protection before first use. 1. Okay, so if you're a pet owner, you *know* the struggle. You clean, you sniff, you *think* you've got it all, but then that phantom smell just... lingers. I've been meaning to grab a UV flashlight for ages to really hunt down those invisible pet messes, and this Consciot 12 LED one popped up on Vine at the perfect time. First things first, it's super straightforward. You pop in three AAA batteries (standard stuff, not included) and you're good to go. It feels decent in your hand, not super heavy-duty but definitely not cheap plastic either. It's a comfortable size to hold and maneuver. Now for the important part: the detection! I waited until after dark, turned off all the lights, and went on a mission. And oh boy, did this thing deliver. Within minutes, I found several "invisible" spots on the carpet that I had absolutely no idea were there. They glowed a bright yellowish-green, just like they're supposed to. It was actually a bit horrifying to see everything, but also incredibly satisfying to finally *see* where the problem areas truly were. The 395nm wavelength and 12 LEDs make it quite powerful and cover a good area without being too dim. You don't have to get super close to the floor for it to work its magic. Beyond pet stains, I know these are good for checking for scorpions (thankfully don't have that issue here!), authenticating currency, or even checking hotel rooms for... well, you know. I haven't tried those yet, but for its primary purpose of finding pet stains, it's a winner. Bottom line: If you've got pets and suspect there are some hidden "gifts" on your floors or furniture, this Consciot UV flashlight is a really useful tool. It's easy to use, decently built, and most importantly, it *works*. Now I can actually clean *all* the spots instead of just guessing.
