I bought one for my mom and my sister after my sister lost her son. Thought the "Weighted blanket" would help them sleep a bit better. My sister loves her weighted blanket. IT's VERY warm. This is not something you can use in summer. But on those cold winter nights? Oh yes. My poor mom though... She wanted to like this. It's so warm and she's an old woman, thin skinned and cold even in 80 degree summers. That first night she wrapped up in the weighted blanket, got cozy. And then 3am rolls around. Gotta get up and go to the bathroom, the curse of old age. Can't get up. The blanket was a bit too heavy for her! She had to yell for my sister to come help. "It felt like I had a suffocating straight jacket holding me in bed." It's a laughter inducing fun story between the family, but it highlights the need to get the proper weight of blanket. I'm still chuckling thinking about my mom telling this story though. I'd buy them again. Probably find a lesser weighted one for my mom. Well made, warm, comfortable.

I was nervous to try out a weighted blanket for the first time. Still, something in me just felt like it's what I need at this time in my journey. Boy was I right! This blanket is so cozy and comfy. I love the beautiful purple color and softness of it. My kids also love it and now want their own.
