I have bought this pillow 5 times. The first time it was a giant, heavy overstuffed pillow. I was thrilled and promptly lost it. The second one was markedly lighter. The third and fourth ones were so understaffed and flimsy I gave them away. I bought this pillow again thinking that by now they had surely fixed the problem. The last pillow was a by far the worst. Barely fits the pillow case. Offers no support between my knees as it’s the width of two cotton balls. Don’t be fooled by old reviews! I'm not sure if I like this pillow or not. It is rather rotund. It's kind of like sleeping with a fat person. You definitely have to decide if you want to share your bed with this thing. When the pillow arrives it is vacuum packed and totaly flat. When I cut the plastic seal it hissed and the pillow started to grow. It's amazing, it gets bigger and bigger within a few minutes. The directions say you can put it in the sun and it will grow better. This kind of freaked me out, so I'm keeping mine out of the sunshine. It's big enough. I was kind of uneasy the first night as I didn't know what it would look like in the morning. They say it may take a couple a days to finally fluff out. I hope mine dosen't get any bigger. And it also weighs more than your average pillow. I say 4 or 5 pounds. I'm a few days in with this thing and I'm starting to get used to its presence in my bed. Luckily me bed is queen size , so there is room for us both. It seems to be made well and has absolutely no smell, so that was good. And it is very comfortable to snuggle with. If you like a substantial pillow then this is the right one for you. You will need a large pillowcase though. I need to buy a new pillowcase, the one I have on it is bursting at the seems. I figured I wait a few days till it reaches its full size before I get a new case. ... show more

This pillow came rolled up in a very small box. I had just returned a My Pillow that arrived the same way and despite excessive fluffing it was still flat. This body pillow filled out incredibly and is so soft yet firm and full I have recommended it to my friends and actually bought 2 of them for my guest bedroom. I have been using this body pillow for a while now and I absolutely love it. I purchased the pillow as a replacement for an old one that was starting to turn yellow and flat. When it arrived I opened the box the pillow was inside a thick plastic zipper bag, which was partially unzipped. I was worried at first, but the pillow seemed to be undamaged. When you initially remove it from the plastic bag and untie the ribbon keeping it folded it lays out very flat. It fluffs up more when you open the vacuum sealed bag. The instructions give a couple options to fluff it up even more, I chose to do it by hand because I don't have any clean tennis balls to throw in the dryer with it. After fluffing it up it got so big I was afraid it wouldn't fit in my pillowcase, which is funny because at first I was worried that it was too small for the pillowcase. Thankfully I managed to get it into the pillowcase pretty easily, especially considering how big this pillow got. Even after sleeping on this pillow for some time it remains fluffy and is super easy to re-fluff. It is very bouncy and thick, it gives way when you put your head on it but still provides support. For me it's not too hot either, but I get cold easily so I may not be a good judge of that. All in all, I would probably purchase again. ... show more

I am in love with this pillow. It's heavy and long so I feel like I'm wrestling a bear while trying to get comfortable in bed, but once I get situated, I sleep like a baby all night. Even if I wake up to go to the bathroom, I get back to it and fall asleep right away. I bought a fluffy peach cover for it at Bed Bath and Beyond and it is so cozy and comfortable. I have a full size iron bed and when I make the bed I put it in front of my pillow shams, then a decorative throw pillow. It looks nice and I am very happy with it in spite of the weight and size. It makes me chuckle as I carry it to the couch occasionally or when getting it and myself in place at night. It also works for putting under the knees for a nap and a good book. ... show more

    • Why did I wait so long?
I've been sleeping with a slim pillow between my knees, and "hugging" a small pillow for years to try to sleep on my side. Due to bad hips, it's a real trick, and painful to say the least. The "huggy" pillow has gone flat enough where it doesn't hold up my elbow, and really doesn't do any good.....so NOW, I have this WONDERFUL body pillow that is SO comfortable that I sleep like a baby with less pain to boot. I did research, mostly through the reviews as I find what people who actually purchase something and use it are better than reviews done by companies are better to go by. The others mentioned flattening out, etc. Some even mentioned in their advertisements that they could be washed, but anyone that has washed fiberfill knows that it comes out lumpy and hard after that. At least this company didn't try to tell me a lie like that. So, I'll know in 6 months or so if it flattens out. I'll try to remember to make another review (if they 'let' me) after that. ... show more

I haven't slept with it yet but I'm already impressed by it. Got it out of the packaging, threw it in the dryer as recommended (I used aluminum foil balls because I don't have tennis balls as they advised, worked just as well) and fluffed mildly. Was pretty impressed with it. Let it sit for an hour, wet back to see it, THIS THING GOT HUGE. Super thick but not too firm (that's what... uh... nevermind).
