The media could not be loaded. This particular blanket was not my first choice, color wise, but the one in the color I felt would match my bedding the most was not available in the size I wanted. My bed is a QUEEN but I purchased this blanket in size KING. The photo/video is of the blanket on my bed after washing & drying. I’m unsure if it shrank because I didn’t measure it before washing it. It is a standard lightweight cotton blanket. Slightly scratchy before being washed, less scratchy afterwards and it definitely softens up in the wash. But remember it’s waffle cotton, not fleece or jersey- so it’s not going to be some sort of fluffy soft cloud blanket, by nature. It’s a good spring/summer blanket because it’s lightweight. I will use it over my top sheet in my bed in place of my comforter when the weather is hotter. I like it! I’m glad I purchased the king for my queen bed because I think it worked out better. Judge for yourself via photos. I tucked it under my mattress like you would with bed sheets & the size worked out great. The color is not a true lavender- there is more a pink tone to it than lavender would have. But it’s pretty and spring-y. ... show more

Was looking for a lightweight extra layer cotton blanket and bought this one based on past good experience with this company. Works great as an extra layer for the winter without getting overheated and feels like it should be good by itself for the summer as long as you don't have AC cranking too high. So many of these types of blankets are quite expensive for not being a whole lot to them. This one is a much more affordable price yet still seems to be made very well and is nice and soft. The color also looks great, just like shown in the pictures. Haven't had any problems with stitching coming loose or frayed strings left hanging. Be prepared for it to shrink a little once washed, though it is a little oversized to allow for that. So far I don't have anything negative to say, it's a nice blanket. ... show more

I washed the blanket before use, and it shrunk a bit even though I tumble dried on extra low heat; if I could do it over I would air dry. it is lightweight and comfy and I have been very happy so far. Very nice. These don't slip around on the bed and unlike many waffles, don't easily snag. I bought the green, which is a lovely color that I use on the bed, and plum, which I use as a dog blanket. The plum color has been washed numerous times using hot water and hot dry. The blankets are holding up well and seams are still perfect. The blankets shrunk a little and with the first few washes left quite a bit of lint in the dryer screen (very little lint now), what you can expect from thick cotton, but are still just right for warmth and softness. Even with the thickness and warmth, the blankets dry quickly. These blankets in my estimation are the product of a textile master who really cares. ... show more
