    • US btu rating is 8100 not 12000.
The unit was easy to install and is very quiet. Unfortunately, one of the reasons why it’s very quiet relates to the fact that it is not a 12,000 BTU unit. In the US this unit is only rated at 8100 BTUs. When the unit arrived, it had a DOE Energy guide sticker that called out that it was 8100. Amazon refunded me 30% of the purchase price. If you’re doing a room of 350sqft or smaller this is a good unit if you find the price in your range. ... show more
