My original hub power adapter failed after 8 months, I was disappointed as the hub is pretty useless without the power, and that is the essence of my original review. A customer service agent contacted me very quickly and offered a full refund, which I think is noteworthy as according to Amazon I was out of the return/warranty period. On top of that, I was offered a replacement power pack that I happily accepted (I was actually sent a complete, new hub with all the bits). I really like the product, it looks great, it’s compact and has the perfect amount of each connection for me; powered usb c/10gbs usb c /5gbs usb, so having it working again is great. I’d have loved for the power pack to have not failed, if it breaking was the end of it I would have not bought or recommended again, but honestly these things happen… the customer service was great though, it inspires confidence in the product (that this was an anomaly), and made ALL the difference.

This has been a great hub. High-speed, switchable, and a lighted indicator for each plug. I did see a silly review by someone who thought it was a charger. There are two non-data charging plugs for USB-C, but the rest are intended as data ports. It isn't cheap, but it was so good that I bought a second one for my work-lab PC. Be aware though... there are probably better choices if you're planning to use it in a portable setting... this is a solid unit with high-power output. The power supply is larger and heavier than that of some modern laptops.

This hub is solid, well-built, and attractive. Feels like a quality bit of tech and you do pay for that with the price. It has a power switch right on the top, which is nice because the status lights are too bright to leave on at night as they will light up a whole room. Big downside, however. The USB-A Ports are NOT powered enough to charge an iPad mini. Was pretty disappointed with that. The two USB-C charging ports do a great job at charging. But seriously? Who makes a USB hub that won’t charge devices? These guys apparently. Also, the cord is a nice length, but it might not be long enough if your computer is not right on your desk. Then again, it’s probably too long if you’re using it with a laptop.
