Upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 that only has USB C ports and a micro SD reader, so I need a hub that would do HDMI, DP, USB A, SD card and Ethernet. And it needed to be small enough to throw into a bag for travel. This one had everything I needed and had more than a lot of the desktop docking stations I considered. 3 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, 2 HDMI, 1 DP, 1 USB C data port, USB C 100W power port, SD and Micro SD readers, Ethernet and an audio port. I can plug in a couple of external hard drives and flash drives, an HDMI monitor (I use two portable monitors-one as HDMI and one as USB C but have tried both on HDMI at the same time and it works great), a Logitech dongle and when I need to, wired ethernet. It does not have VGA but they do offer one that swaps off the DP port for VGA, but I preferred the DP. There are a couple of negatives but for me, none are deal breakers. First two are on me--I didn't realize that the USB C data port on the hub would not do video output I had never thought about the difference between a USB and a Thunderbolt hub so I just plug that monitor into the laptop directly. No big deal but if that is what you are looking for, you need a more expensive Thunderbolt hub. The other is a known Logitech issue and not the fault of the hub. If you use the unified dongle for Logitech keyboards or mice, you need to use an extender for the dongle to keep it from being directly in contact with the hub. If it's too close, it causes interference. I was using an 8" USB C to USB A extender but needed that USB C port, so am now using an old USB A to USB A in one of the 2.0 ports with no issues at all. The last issue is the cable length to connect to the computer. It's only 11" long so to swing the hub behind the computer is a bit tight. If it was another 6-12" longer, it would be perfect but I've been able to make that work. So far, it's working great and I would recommend it to anyone who travels with their computer and peripherals. ... show more

Bought this to act as a docking station for a new Dell laptop. Device was much smaller and half the price of an official Dell usb-c docking station. Needed a legacy VGA monitor port to work with a KVM switch that I use to share monitor/keyboard/mouse between 3 different computers. Works great with the new laptop. Only minor complaint - vga port does not have jack posts to secure the vga cable connection. The small form factor vs stiffness of cables was causing the VGA cable to disconnect. Had to secure the HODO unit to the desk using velcro straps and secure the vga cable to provide strain relief so the cable would stay connected. Threaded inserts in the plastic case for the cable jackscrews would alleviate this minor issue. Only other nit is that the Dell laptop does not recognize the power feed thru (using Dell oem usb-c power cable) so the computer gives a warning about slow charging and limited performance using the HODO unit as power source. Not sure if there is a way to get the computer to recognize the HODO power feed thru as a native supply - have not had the time to put much research into it. ... show more

Honestly one of the best adapters Iโ€™ve ever purchased. This little thing does it all! At the price, I was skeptical that it would even function but every port does what itโ€™s supposed to. Iโ€™ve had it for like 3 months now and itโ€™s worked without problem with daily use on both my Mac mini and MacBook.

If you donโ€™t use the Wifi port to connect your hardline cable, it works fine. Holds many cables. Price should be lower based on Wifi port connectivity.

I decided to look for a docking station and after browsing through many of them, settled for this. One tiny device allows me to dump the tangled mess of cables behind my desk and leave the table clean. I'm using 2 HDMI monitors (Dell and Acer), a Logitech USB webcam, Logitech USB wireless mouse/keyboard, plugged into my Dell or Lenovo laptops (the later of which also charges via USB). Everything works perfectly, full-power and without lag. One additional note: the product manufacturer reached out to me asking which devices I use with the docking station to ensure that everything is compatible.
