I bought this dock as I was upgrading my home office, and I wanted something that had more USB inputs. I used the previous model from this brand that was similar in shape, which needed a power input. That one is still alive, but the upgrades for this one are experienceable. They are kind of comparing with the other models, and below are some details: Pros: 1) There are plenty of ports, 2 USB 3.0 -A type, 2 USB 2.0 - A type, and one USB 3.0 C-type. If you think about what to connect (keyboard, mouse, maybe another gadget + external storage, etc.), these are more than enough. 2) Three monitor ports are pretty helpful. The refresh rate could be adjusted depending on the number of monitors that you connect, but I think two monitor extensions and your own laptop works pretty smoothly. 3) It does not require any power. The previous model actually needed some USB power to turn on, but this one does not need power. Also, the connection got faster than the previous version. Pretty good! Cons: 1) The hub gets hot after a few hours if you are using more than two monitors. It is not too bad, although I do not have the correct numbers for them. You just need to install the dongle a little away from the laptop fan so it does not get hotter. It functions well with the heat, so maybe this is a not-too-concernable issue. There's not much to say from here; it does its job pretty well. Also, the material good a smooth touch to it (it was a little rough on the surface before). Overall, I am satisfied, good price and good quality.

My company changed to the USB-C power charging laptops so my previous docking station was rendered useless. I work a hybrid job, and plugging/unplugging 4 different things and chasing falling cords every other day was annoying, so I was looking for an inexpensive docking station for home since I have a pretty basic set up. After checking out reviews from the helpful folks who know much more about tech than I do, I felt it was a solid choice for what I was looking for. I was able to set it all up in 5 minutes and easily accessed the directions from the QR code in the box. I connected my laptop charging cord to the Power port, my mouse+keyboard USB toggle, USB corded webcam and external display HDMI cord, which all fit and runs perfectly. The device input cord plugs and unplugs smoothly, no jiggling or excessive effort. The bar feels and looks solid and quality, not flimsy by any means and makes me feel like it will last. It even increased the definition of my webcam than just plugging it into the laptop! And, it worked seamlessly with my personal Mac. It will easily travel and swap USBs when setting up temporarily with my portable screen for travel. Happy with my purchase and recommend it.

I do alot of business travle between office locations. Never know whats going to be there for equipment. This unit covers anything I need except the physical monitors. It has plenty of USB ports and it does not require an addtional power to drive them. Ports offered are: 1 x C Port USB 3 (wish there were two but not a big deal) 2 x A Port USB 3 2 x A Port USB 2 It also has 3 monmitor ports 2 x HDMI 1 x Display Port An ethernet port, you would think in this world of wireless it would not be used but I use it alot. Most of guest wifis are slow and this is a nice workaround. Also in Hotels where the free wifi is even worse. Finaly there are two SD ports and a headphone port. As you can see plenty of connectivity . It will also work as a docking station if you are a minnimialst and want to keep the foot print to minnimum. And most of all the cost, you can not find this much functionality at this price. Tobeone support is responsive and helpful making this a no brainer. I have other Tobeone products and honestly not looking at any other vendors. The only other device I am looking for from Tobeone is a KVM. That will complete my arsenal. If your on the fence take the leap you wont be dissapointed, I highly recoemnd Tobeone products.

I have a desktop docking station from Tobenone that works great and is a solid product. So when I saw this portable USB C docking station from them I had to give it a try. This docking station has a solid quality build like their other products. The color is darker in person than what appears in online pictures which I like. It has a nice weight to it which is a plus because other Docking stations I’ve had can lose balance when a lot is plugged in. This one stays flat where you put it. According to Tobenone this can only be used with one monitor for my MacBook M1, but for me that’s all I use so I have no issues. Good information to have if you need more than one monitor with a MacBook M1. I find this a perfect size for travel and fits nicely into my bag. The amount of ports provided gives plenty of space and options for connectivity. I would however like to see more USB C ports, but this is not a deal breaker for me. It’s a plug and play device that does what is expected in a solid enclosure. Yet again, another great Tobenone product that I would recommend if you are looking for something portable or space saving.

RIGHT after I left a 5 star review it stopped working :( Worked great for about a year and then one HDMI port stopped working. Super bummed about the short life of this docking station.

I was able to get 2 monitors to work, but the displayport would not work for a 3rd monitor. I even wasted money on a new cable and it still didn’t work 😭. I was able to plug the 3rd monitor into my actual workstation and got the 3 working together without using the DisplayPort. Otherwise, the doc has been great! 2 monitors, keyboard, and mouse work fine with it.
