I got this for a 40 lb bull dog after the smaller size was too small. Plenty of room for my doggo to move around. Easy to set up and break down. Pretty sturdy and for the price point is a good option. Probably could pay more for a metal one if you want the protection. If you had a dog in this during a vehicle accident it probably wouldn’t hold up as some of the other metal versions. Even with that, I’d still recommend. ... show more

We have a Miniature Poodle weighing about 16 pounds. She doesn't like traveling in the car unless she is in someone's lap or she is in a cage or crate. Our wire, home crate is a little too large for easy car traveling, so we gave this crate a try. The result? Total success. She is perfectly happy to travel now, and the crate is easy enough for us to move that it is now her "upstairs" crate at home. This crate pops together in minutes, but is still reassuringly sturdy. We haven't collapsed it since putting it together, but it looks to be just as easy as assembling the crate. The 27 inch size is great for smaller dogs to feel protected without being cramped. This crate does not meet airline standards, no matter what the statement said in the product description, it just won’t work for commercial airline at all. Description and images are very misleading. Amazon please pull your Andon cord! We tried to check in our dog on an Alaskan Airline flight, got rejected for the crate having two doors (back and front doors making it collapsible, deemed as unstable structure). And we had to rebook the flight next day. What a horrible nightmare when you tried to travel , never mention the extra expensive Uber pet rides to/from airport wasted. Crate itself is quality one. Very easy to collapse. Good for storage. Will work in all other use cases other than flight. ... show more

The medium size was bigger than I thought. Longer and not as wide as Medium wire Kennels.Though the Unit was sturdy, easy to use to set up and collapse, my 2 small dogs, 11 lbs each for which I bought the kennel, for travel,wouldn’t go in it. They are used to the airy wire kennels so I returned it.

This product is more than adequate for our needs but remember it is totally plastic, so durability is unknown at this time. We purchased the large size. Although, our golden retriever is just pup, we feel it will suit our plan to used it when we stay at a hotel or a VRBO overnight. It will simply serve as her own nighttime bed and not a holding pen. I like the lighter weight of the product and the ability to easily fold it when storage is an issue. My one suggestion is when purchasing the accessory travel kit, insist on getting two locking wheels and that all 4 wheels are rotating wheels rather than the standard set of wheels. I received two wheels that rotated but did not lock. The remaining two wheels, used in the rear of the crate, did not lock or rotate making the crate drag when making turns. When requesting locking wheels, Mirapet responded by sending two of these overnight free of charge. I expect good customer service and Mirapet did not disappoint. Their response was excellent. We got this crate for our puppy, so we have been using it for about 6 weeks. It’s the perfect “den” for her, and she loves the solitude of being inside. It made crate training so easy! She does have accidents inside from time to time, but this is so easy to clean up! We have even hosed it down. It travels nicely, also. Great value - would definitely recommend! ... show more

We travel back and forth from Montana to California frequently. We have two Boxer dogs and two cats. For several years we put the cats in a large carrier with sandbox in the back seat of my truck and the dogs in the bed with a camper shell. Last year the weather warmed up and we had to move the dogs into the cab of the truck on the second day of our journey which was nine hours of misery putting it mildly. This year we decided to take two vehicles and our large cat carriers would not fit in the second vehicle. So, we bought this carrier which would fit and was still large enough for cats with sandbox.
