🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

These reviews expose a well-built and functional stove with a straightforward assembly process and durability. Customers express great satisfaction with the warmth it provides, even in cabins or during a power outage. However, several reviewers have had issues with the delivery and packaging, with items arriving damaged. They also indicate that a damper on the front air vent is absent, which is available in more expensive stoves.

Pros

  • 🔥 Provides significant warmth, suitable for cabins and power outages
  • 🛠 Easy to assemble
  • 💪 Durable construction
  • 👌 Good value for the price

Cons

  • 📦 Numerous reports of delivery and packaging issues
  • 📐 Absence of a damper on the front air vent
  • 💨 Can lead to smoke if not used correctly

Should I Buy It?

If you need a cost-effective, easy-to-assemble, and functional stove and are prepared to handle potential delivery or packaging issues, this product is a solid choice. However, if the absence of a damper is critical for your needs, you might consider exploring other options.

  • Missing a hole for the door peg
The first stove came very chipped in the front it almost cut my hand. So I had them come and get it. The second one had missing holes so I asked for new door. They send me a new door with a hole in it like it was supposed to be so I changed my rating to 4 stars. But I still had to drill a hole myself where the door attaches. It's a nice stove. It's warm once heated. But the handle keeps falling off. The company takes care of you if you send them pictures. Other then that I'm happy with the stove. It's warm and it's really fun to warm up to on a cold day. ... show more

  • Efficient, warm, cute ,
We contemplated buying this stove , after making the plunge , it was the best decision ever ! Easy installation , using in a 41 ft fifth wheel … keeps the place warm , sometimes have to open windows .. but can shut it down and it will be smoldering in the morning .. we did put a damper on it .. I can open it up in the morning , add some wood and it gets going right away .. so if wavering on the decision .. DO IT! You won’t be disappointed. Happy Camper ... show more

  • WASTE OF MONEY!
Doesn't do anything good! Made from the cheapest of metal! Supposed to be cast iron, but more like pot metal! Castings are of the lowest "quality", core shift is obviously a major problem! Two legs on opposite ends broke off after assembly because one leg didn't even reach the floor! It sat about 2-3 inches off the floor! After disassembling and reassembling multiple times to try and get the legs level, ended up getting one leg to sit only 1-2 inches off the floor! The flue collar was cast so poorly that it will never fit into the cast in flange it is supposed to sit in. I spent three hours grinding on it to finally get it to fit. I "tried" to get a fire started in it, only to discover it won't draw worth crap! Smoke filled the room every single time I opened the door, and every time I closed the door, the fire would go out! I even had placed 4 fire bricks in the bottom as suggested by the manufacturer. The problem is it just doesn't draw enough fresh air to support combustion with the door closed, and the huge block mounted in the top that fully blocks the flue opening certainly can't be helping. This is what you get when mindless zombie bureaucrats at the EPA forcing their stupidity on people. If possible, I'm going to try to get a refund, but as I had to modify it, I doubt that will be possible. I wasted $414 dollars on this thing, and I don't understand why the price fluctuates daily on Amazon. Right after buying and before it arrived, I saw the price drop to $389, then rise to over $700 and it's currently $500! What is up with that? It would be overpriced at $100! ... show more

  • It works ok
it doesn't put out the best amount of heat, I think it might be too thick of cast iron, but it does work and heats enough to keep the place from freezing, it is built well and very durable, I've been using mine for 2 winters now in East Texas, it got down to the low 20's just the other day and it kept the room about 68°, burning White Oak and Sassafras wood, at the least it keeps the electric heater from coming on, set to 65°, If I was to do it again I would go with a better more efficient wood burning stove, the Flue pipe is too expensive Too, I think Gold is cheaper than Flue pipe...... :( ... show more

  • Very good!!
I know others have said things they didn't like, but I just wanted to say that being in the interiors of Alaska, the things and people who aren't tough and strong don't last long out here. This wood stove is really great! It got to me completely intact and is very well built. I am very happy with it. Thanks for listening to an old man's view. ... show more

  • Awesome for the price
I put this in my Pacific dome. I’ve been looking for a woodstove for the past six months used or $500 and are completely rusted out. I was impressed with the size. My UPS guy hates me now, but I love this thing. The first one showed up damaged it was replaced immediately very impressed with the customer service for the price of this product. I definitely recommend. ... show more

  • VERY nice cast iron Wood Stove
This stove is well cast and it's easy to assemble the draft plate, legs and the plate located at the door. I haven't fired it up yet but it's supposed to be able to heat 900 sq. ft. It is not a LARGE stove but the top has two heating plated for you to cook on if you want too and the top is VERY thick cast iron. The door is hefty for it's size and seals very well (but US Stove says to change out the door sealing rope every 1-2 years). >>> Be sure to use a US Stove DR6 Barometric Draft Regulator (about $70 unless to can find it on sale ... see Amazon (currently $36 but it is Prime Day today). This beast is HEAVY ... about 130+ pounds. The shipping box leaves much to be desired so receiving the stove in perfect physical condition might be questionable (quite a few Customer reviews have mentioned this) but Amazon will back you by giving you options if it arrived with any shipping damage or factory defect(s). ... show more
