I've been burned before by weak, flimsy solar landscape lights. These classic modern lights are the answer, and I expect they'll last many years. The handsome plastic design is strong and dense. I had no trouble driving them into semi-frozen soil. They come with extension fittings for a range of heights. These all slip-fit together down to the ground steak. The light is warm and surprisingly bright. I'd guess 300 lumens and 2700 Kelvin. I like that the solar panel blocks uplighting (dark skies!). The lights had power right out of the box, but they arrive switched off. There is an easy-to-miss switch you have to turn on. The directions make this clear. My only criticism is that they don't last long after a day of weak winter sunshine. Just a few hours. ... show more

They work well, are nice and bright, the height is adjustable, and they don’t make crazy star patterns and stripes and shadows all over the ground like a lot of other lights do.
