In the last year I have gained a new love for reed diffusers- they are simple, safe, and an easy way to create a cozy space. I enjoy trying new brands and scents and I was very pleased try the Urban Naturals brand reed diffuser in the scent “Holiday Cheer” and below is my review! 🎄PACKAGING: This reed diffuser arrived in the manufacturer’s packaging: a festive box of white with red stripes and a glittery gold detail. The brand name and scent is displayed on the front of the package. Inside, the glass bottle is well secured with cardboard, as well as the reeds. Everything arrived safely and free of damage. The packaging is such that it could easily be wrapped up or gifted as is. 🎄DETAILS: This reed diffuser set includes a 5oz bottle of oil and 8 reed diffusing sticks. This is a non-toxic and eco-friendly product that (per the manufacturer) can last four months or longer. 🎄APPEARANCE: When I saw the bright & festive packaging, I was excited to see what the diffuser would look like and was surprised to find a plain black glass bottle with black reed sticks. At first, I must admit I was slightly disappointed- I was hoping for something bright & cheery that really screamed Christmas! But now that I have my Christmas décor up I have a new appreciation for the simple black bottle and reed sticks. The most important thing about a reed diffuser is the scent right? You may not necessarily want the diffuser to take away from your home décor, particularly holiday décor. I love that this plain black bottle just kind of hangs out in the background allowing my decorations to take center stage. It definitely doesn’t take away from them, but rather allows the scent to stand out. And the simple black bottle and reeds have a refined look to it- simple understated elegance. I would describe the appearance of this reed diffuser as simple, non-distracting, elegant, and something that could appeal to anyone regardless of their personal sense of style. 🎄SCENT: This literally smells like Christmas- when I think about what Christmas would smell like, this reed diffuser is it. To me Christmas should smell like Christmas trees, cinnamon, like a kitchen full of baked treats, and like sitting in front of a fire on a chilly snowy night. This diffuser is exactly that: The first note that I detected was a Christmas tree smell like that of pine trees. To me, that is THE most important Christmas smell, so I was pleased that that was the first note I picked up on. I could detect scents of cinnamon and maybe a smokey vanilla. This diffuser isn’t just a pine or balsam scent, but something more complex that really encompasses the important smells of Christmas. The manufacturer reports the notes of this scent to be cranberries, cinnamon, evergreen, cedar, and smokey wood. I find this to be accurate after reading about the scent after smelling it first. This scent is like the Christmases of my childhood bottled up in diffuser form. It is something that stirs up feelings of nostalgia, of Christmas magic, and of cozy winter nights. Some of my favorite reed diffuser scents are those that I can immediately associate with a memory or feeling, and this certainly does that. Urban Naturals has managed to turn the Christmas season into a scent and bottle it up in reed diffuser form. I would rate the strength of this scent as 9/10. There are some notes that can potentially be quite potent such as the evergreen and cinnamon, however, Urban Naturals has executed the strength perfectly making this diffuser noticeable without being overwhelming. 🎄This item is typically listed at $24.99 at the time of this review. I have tried the Urban Naturals brand before and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the item that I received for an affordable price. This diffuser could easily pass as a high-end luxury brand because of its excellent quality of essential oil and sophisticated appearance. I really do believe that this diffuser could last 4 months or more- you get 150ml of oil! That, combined with the amazing smell that is strong without being overwhelming makes this diffuser a great value for the cost. Furthermore, the Urban Naturals brand is a small business and I will almost always support a small business over a larger company. I will associate the Urban Naturals brand with quality, affordability, and their ability to create unique scents that could stir up a memory or transport you back to a place in time. I highly recommend not only the Urban Naturals brand but the scent ‘Holiday Cheer’. This would make a great stocking stuffer or holiday gift as well!

The scent reminds me of a freshly cut Christmas tree. This is a great addition to get the aroma of the season brought inside. I find it works best in a smaller room like a bathroom or bedroom since the fragrance is "captured" in the room. It came with eight reeds, which can help you adjust the strength of the scent by using more or fewer reeds. Keep in mind, if the scent diminished, just take out the reeds, flip them around, and put them back in.

The smell on this is great, it definitely smells festive, HOWEVER, you will not be able to smell this in your living room unless you're 2 inches away from the bottle. The smell doesn't disperse very well in a large space, so in order for it to be noticeable, you have to place it in a small room, such as an office or a bathroom. Again, the smell is great, and I personally love that the bottle is black, as my entire house has black in each room, so it matches really well. I like that it isn't a tacky bottle. 4 Stars, just for the simple fact that you can't put this in any room.

I received this holiday-scented oil diffuser and I have to say that it is helping me get into the holiday spirit. The scent is very pleasant and not overwhelming. Plus, it looks great on my entry table. The diffuser bottle itself is very attractive and it comes with 8 soaking reeds. From the scent, I have to believe that it does contain some pretty good quality essential oils. While it has a complex scent note, I pick up on the cinnamon and the cedar / evergreen notes. The bottle is refillable and feels solid so I see using this year-round. I am very happy with this order.

The holiday cheer reed diffuser set arrived today and it is very nice. We recently moved to a retirement village and everyone has a small table at their door usually with some holiday decoration. I have my little Christmas decoration ready to set up the first of December and I’m excited to have this fragrant reed set to just add to the ambiance of the season. The longevity of the diffusers is impressive. Even after weeks of use, the scents remain potent, and I find that I only need a few reeds to enjoy the full effect.
