  • A great starter saw, but also perfect for small shops
We just moved to a smaller house and I had to give away my Dewalt table saw. I now have a much smaller shop and discovered having no table saw was untenable. So I bought this saw which was compact and easy to move around. Turns out this saw is amazingly good, and the only thing I did was buy a higher quality saw blade. It has more than enough power and capacity for the vase majority of projects. Love it. ... show more

  • Good for occasional use. Responsive customer service. Great value.
The saw I received was damaged during delivery. The part that was broken was an adjustable pillow block on which the saw assembly rests. This part broke in the opposite direction of the saw weight, meaning the part of this beveling mount that reduces runout broke, not the part that actually holds the saw assembly (which is a considerably thicker part of this mount). It also seems to indicate that the saw shouldn’t be stored or (duh) operated upside down. I contacted the company via the email in the manual and received a response a few days later. They sent the part out to me as well as a spare. Even though I could have just exchanged the saw, I prefer this kind of service when a part is user replaceable since it creates less waste. Also this indicates some spare parts are available for this saw. Now that I can safely operate it, I can say it works fine as an entry level saw. Comparing it to my name- brand saw, this saw has a simple static table top, a less elaborate fence clamp, a small amount of bevel play when locked, a cheaper beveling hinge, a cheap throat plate, and a slightly less powerful motor. This isn’t a surprise as the name brand saw I have costs over twice as much. This saw is fine for occasional use. Considering the price, the value is good if you won’t be using this daily, don’t need a perfect level of accuracy, and don’t intend to frequently cut thicker hardwoods. If you will be using this daily or on tougher materials, probably stop looking at saws in this price range - they will all have a similar issues. Cutting either thick or harder woods (especially once the blade has some miles on it) that require a bit of a “push” rather than a “slide” will likely cause some vibration and tear-out with this kind of bevel system. Niceties for accuracy and continuous use missing in this saw, such as a rack and pinion fence, should be on your radar if your saw will be used daily. As for cutting an occasional 2x4 or piece of plywood, this saw will work fine and save you some money. ... show more

  • Blade does not cut at 0 deg angle.
Very unhappy - waste of money. The blade will not tilt to full 0 deg making the saw completely unusable. Stay away from this cheap knockoff

  • Plastic parts one broken upon arrival
Seller was/is great. No guff whatsoever in returning the saw. So it seems great, but I finally was off of work to have a chance to check it out and realized that a very important part wasn't functional. The lever youbuse to bevel the blade wouldn't lock, causing the blade to swing and it doesn't require a genius to know that is a BAD idea. Sadly, I had a project with a deadline and I couldn't wait to go through returning and having another sent to me which took about a week maybe a tad more, so I bought one at our local lumberyard which the price wasn't favorable but its not deadly either. The seller was receptive and again simply said okay, no fuss. So seller great product....questionable as most bits are plastic including the miter gauge which was far from accurate and the fence wasn't super stable either. Again seller great, product .... mehh UPDATE: Because I could NEVER find a box large enough to pack it into to send back, I still have it. I had a few days to myself and was able to fix the locking mechanism for the bevel function. I fired it up and wow it cuts like warm butter, its quiet compared to the other. So I am changing this from 4 to 5. Aside from that small but very bad breakage this thing is a beast in quiet mode. I think I love it more than the Skil I bought. So now I want to give my skil back but Its been used I simply am the owner of 2 table saws. ... show more

  • Great for the price
This machine is less expensive than name brands, but does the same cuts and quality as the higher end ones very happy

  • Missing Parts
The table saw is perfect for the light work I do. I would have given it a 5 except it came missing the screws for the miter gauge pictured. I emailed customer support several days ago and haven’t heard.
