would like to preface by saying I have never used a sewing machine or serger before. I got this overlocker in the hopes of being able to alter my own clothes and maybe pick up a new hobby. After researching how to use it, I discovered that the hardest part was going to be threading my new machine. The internet is full of horror stories and many accounts of just how difficult this process is. Nevertheless, after watching 50+ videos I was excited to get my machine threaded so I could begin using it. So, imagine my surprise and absolute delight of opening the box and realizing that the machine is ALREADY THREADED! It comes fully loaded with all four spools intricately connected by (I’m assuming) and expert. It even came with a piece of test fabric that had already ensured that the machine was working properly and had the right settings! Since it was already set up and ready to go, all I had to do was plug in the foot peddle and BOOM, me, and absolute beginner, was sewing! This machine is extremely easy to use and makes beautiful stitches. It’s definitely got me inspired and I can’t wait to start making professional looking clothing and household supplies.

Setting this up was a bit of a challenge at first! It moves very fast compared to a standard sewing machine, so I highly recommend having some scrap fabric nearby to practice on before you dive into a real project. I’m not an expert sewer by any means, so I spent a good amount of time on YouTube figured out the threading and settings. Once you get the hang of it, though, the difference is night and day. It definitely makes hems look way more professional. If I can figure it out, anyone can, but definitely be prepared for a bit of trial and error.

I run a small sewing business making canvas bags and fleece hoodies, so my equipment gets a real workout. It’s a heavy-duty beast—I’ve been sewing through 4-6 layers of thick fleece and it doesn't struggle or skip a single stitch.
