All you need to hook up to external mics. I use one on my C3 for my DJI Wireless or Rode Wireless GO II. I use on my ONE RS with the Rode only because I only have a mounting bracket for the Rode. Hoping to find another bracket for the DJI for the ONE RS.

Surprised by how well it stays on. Rarely pops off the camera. Gotta hit a big bump at the right angle for it to pop off the camera. I used this on my bike trip to Belgium. It held up amazingly riding on the cobbles. Not one issue. You will need an adapter to hold your specific mic receiver.

    • Cannot be used with a cage but works great!
If you’ll be using it to record without a cage around your camera, and you’re not gonna shake the camera around, this is perfect. It fits into the USB-C slot one way, so you might need to turn it around to find the way to have it flush against the camera. It’s not very intuitive but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty straightforward. I wish it had more of a “clip” sound and feel to it when inserted, as it is, while it’s held into place ok, it feels like it could be knocked off with a clumsy move. Granted, you’re not supposed to yank it and the camera is fragile without a cage, but you know what I mean. Now, if you’ll be using it to Vlog while walking, or record indoor, this is perfect. If this is to be mounted while the camera is doing acrobatics, maybe secure it with a rubber band or something. But as a functional, efficient solution for a better mic input to your insta360, it works great. Tested it with a Rode Wireless Me and an Insta360 X2 and the results were good. For vlogging, and tabletop / tripod recording, this works a treat! ... show more

    • Should Be Zero Stars - Did Not Work!
This did not work. After testing it out and going back to see/hear my results all I heard was a bunch of static and electrical pulsing. Terrible product. Returned it. Safe yourself the trouble and avoid this.

I'm starting to make videos to explain certain things. The onboard mic of the camera wasn't enough so I purchase a ride mic and use this adapter. Works great.

    • It works, but the plastic that makes it clip to the camera broke instantly.
Its super fragile. So, now I have the insta one inch 360 thing and it sort of is on there when I shoot, but with the plastic retainer broken, its not on there that good. A cheap mic that works great is the EDUTIGE ETM-001. Dont think you need to get the Rode setup, you simply do not. There are plenty of Lav mics and cheaper mics that clearly outperform the built in mic. Also the giant squid mic works well. Its only mono audio though. Ironic as its a 360 camera. I am shooting with a zoom h2n now so I can get 4ch sound for the 360 video. But, this works, just dont expect the thing to clip on for long, it will break. ... show more
